St. Patrick's Day competition rules

A. Theme: The theme for the competitions of this year is 'Leprechauns' gold'.

B. Amount: The amount of entries a contestant may submit is 2.

C. Deadline: The deadline is set on 2010-03-07

D. Winners: There will be 2 winners picked for the art and poem contest
and 1 winner for the description contest.

E. Judging: The winners will be selected by a public poll. Don't vote for yourself!

A Limerick

There once was a Lady named Fay

A long time ago, when the world was blue.

Fairies and elves roamed the earth easy to be found. Wearing blue hats and vests, they would dance over the hills and into the night. Celebrated in song and dance they were, then all changed as the turning of the tide. A man came from boat caring an odd symbol. A long shaft with a crosspiece one third of the way down from the top. “Very odd” the fey would say as they danced in the light. “This man he speaks of the sun and of snakes who bite.” But what were these ‘snakes’ he spoke of. As hard as the fey would search there were none of these legless ‘snakes’.

A brave young fairy volunteered to go and ask the strange man where to find these ‘snakes’ so that they could exile them, but when he came close to the man he crushed the brave soul to death. Screaming into the night the fey flew until the man hunted them down and crushed them all.

No one knows why but from that day on people would say that this man had chased the snakes from the land and he was celebrated every year by wearing his color of green.

2009-03-25 [Artsie_ladie]: No problem. :) I see a lot of pages not exported. This is why when [Hedda] mentioned the 'exporting issue' on another page, one of the EPRM pages, I believe, I asked him, if I could go ahead and export pages that should be and he said to. It has happened that some of the pages got unexported, but I think [Hedda] squished that bug. hehe

2009-03-25 [Nehirwen]: Yeah, original this page was exported. In my memory anyway - but it seems I have the memory span of 3 seconds. :p
