I decided to re-vamp this old, dying tutorial and make a new one :P The old tutorial can still be found at: Old Transparent Gif Tutorial for people that hate to load these HUGE images.

This time it's with Photoshop 7.0 :P not crappy Elements! Enjoy because the program wasn't happy making it! xD

This will be the result of your hard work:

2006-08-14 [Vampire Akis]: I do but nothing!!!!!!!!!!! help me...........*cries* Boo hoo hoo.........T_T

2006-08-14 [Zab]: Try telling what program you use. :) You also need priv 99 to upload transparent images on Elftown.

2006-08-14 [Vampire Akis]: I don't have that thingy...

2006-08-14 [Zab]: Then what do you have? Nobody can help you if they don't know what program you use. :)

2006-08-14 [Vampire Akis]: no no. I HAVE photoshop 6.0.
but i don't have the 99 thing you said.

2006-08-14 [kittygirl1017]: me too. ^^

2006-08-14 [Zab]: Then go and get priv 99. :) Ask for it at the Guards or message [Charybdis] or [ally].

2006-08-14 [Atayemi]: Well I asked [Sunrose] for priv 99. You can get it as long as you have been a good member on Elftown. Especially if you haven't had many images deleted, and if you have followed the general rules of Elftown well. :)

2006-08-14 [kittygirl1017]: I just asked them, no response yet, but i know you guys are besy. So, i'll wait. :3

2006-08-14 [Atayemi]: Great stuff. I had to wait too. Good luck. ;)

2006-08-14 [kittygirl1017]: ^_^ Thankyou! You too -even if you alrighty have it- :)

2006-08-14 [Atayemi]: :P I do. ;)

2006-12-14 [Paz]: Almost exactly a year after the old one was written, a new one is born! :D Enjoy!

2008-01-11 [evil beavle]: I've tried something, but if I upload the file to a wiki there is nothing to see :S
I used the photoshop elements, because I don't have that other one.

2008-01-11 [Zab]: What did you try? :P

2008-01-11 [Teufelsweib]: wtf? :P

2008-01-13 [evil beavle]: I've tried the text-thing, I did exactly what the other wiki said (the one with photoshop elements)

2008-01-13 [Zab]: I just noticed the text here is almost impossible to read because of the white edges x) *has a dark stylesheet*

2008-06-03 [Paz]: Ah, I use the light stylesheet so that would explain it >.> It should work in elements but are you trying to save it as a png file?
When I have time, I'll upload a white text for those... darkies :B
Eh, all gifs usually have some white border x) Pngs are are the best but IE doesn't recognize them (unless I'm completely outdated which is possible).

2008-06-03 [Zab]: But I've made gifs with no white (or at least not big enough to be seen) border:P It's just about making sure there are no half-transparent pixels:P

2011-06-10 [Eyonic]: this doesnt work for me, keeps saying there is an error with the image when i save it as a gif and it has a white background when i save it as a png...
