RP Below Raven watched the people in her tavern quietly, listening to their conversations. There was some interesting talk going on, but none of it was important enough to be of any real worth. Still, she logged every scrap of info she could into her memory, in case someone should consider any of it important enough to ask her about.
"Another large Beer Spec'al, ma'am!" called a customer. He was already completely drunk, but she said nothing, instead quickly filling another frothing mug of her specially made beer, and sliding it down the counter to him. If worse came to worse, she had her ways of dealing with these things. She was a very experienced tavern keeper, and was quite proud of her ability to get rid of these kinds of nuisances while still managing to make a profit from it - which she never failed to do.
She kept herself busy with washing the many dishes, refilling mugs, and listening to conversation, as she waited for a certain person to appear.
Gale stepped into the tavern. Her sharp eyes flickered over to the loud customer and gleamed with disdain as she slid past him and sat at the bar. She glanced at Raven and waved her over,
"You wouldnt happen to have a glass of water?" She asked.
Hoever the Raven did not see her so went into the back iwth out answering. Although, M=magically a letter appeard on Gale's table.
Coucil is about to met, you are needed for Dragon representative.
Gale picked up the note and walked outside. A moment later a gust of wind threw the door open as rapid wing beats faded into the distance.
Abarhi looked around, wondering what he was getting himself into.
Porter was sitting in the back stiring a as she saw Abarhi, a smile played on her lips. She had wonder ow Roan would get in contact with her, but she hadn;t expexted the shadow man. After all he wasn;t ond of her kind, but he'd work for her plan. "Hello young one." She said to him.
"Siren" he said politely "I've come to deliver a message from Roan to you, but you most likely expected that already"
"Really?" Porter asked him, setting her cup down. "I wonder how I would have known that? What is the message?"
"You know more than you let on to and it shows" he smiled "She sent me to tell you that she has chosen to follow the voice"
"Ahhh, The voice, I was wondering when she was going to decide to show up." Porter leaned forward. "How would you feel like helping me on a little mission?"
"And what might that be?" Abarhi asked, genuinely interested.
"I might neeed your help to sneak into a place, and steal back an object stolen from me." Porter said. She was testing his curiousity befoer she told him were it was. "Are you in?"
"Why not?" he responded as if he had nothing better to do "What was it exactly that was stolen from you?"
Porter looked up at him with a myschivious smile. "The Conch of the Sea, which is at Telon Island"
"Who stole it?" he asked, sipping down something he had orderd.
Now Porter knew she needed to do this carefully. "The Conch of the Sea is similar to a pillar of Tyradias; however it is specifically a miny pillar to keep the sea out of Chaos. However, it was lended to a certain someone who is know missing."
"Who stole it?" Abarhi repeated his question with a slight bit of emphises.
"Well that is the problem, i don't know." Porter leaned back. "Being if Royal blood to the sea I have the ability to locate the Conch, but I've got no clue as to who could have stolen it."
Abarhi laughed "I'm not so easily fooled Siren. I'm certain that you know, but since it is a miniature pillar or could be used as such then yes i will search for it"
A smirk played on Porter's mouth. "Do you know what Telon Islandis?"
Abarhi smiled "I may be young by your standards but i am not unlearned; it is the realm of the gods, and is rumored to be where the Roc god dissapeared"
Porter stood and smiled, "Greate this makes it easier. I was afraid you be a wet seal and be such a coward you'd run off, but since you know were we're going you'll be perfect." She grabbed her things. "Ready to go?"
"Then off we go." Porter said as she wrapped her and Abarhi in a great whirl wind of water.
"As you wish" he replied.
Roan stumbled as she went through the door to the inn. She had kept quite the entire trip, and a numb coldness had settled over her, which was causing a chill in her body. The fact her mother had lied to her for her entire life was eating her up from the inside.
Turan fought the wave of emotion welling up, placing a hand on her shoulder "I'll go find you a room" he was grateful he was at least able to keep his eyes from going blood shot. He made sure his was a room with a heated bath.
Nadya stayed near Roan. "Roan....you're so quiet...what's going on? I'm so worried...."
Turan returned with keys in hand "I'll take you to your room when you are ready Roan"
Roan nodded, and started to walk the direction that Turan had come from. She completely ignored Nadya.
Turan walked her to her room "If you need me i'll be just down the hall" he scuttled off to his room you don't run from her like you ran from me, why is that? Is it stress, you know this will haunt you till the very end a playful voice teased his mind Such an event and yet you still don't know how.... again the image dissolved hideously. He waiting outside his room, fumbling for the key.
Roan blinked as she watched through a haze as Turan walked out of the room. Blinking once more she went and followed him till she was behind him as he fumbled with his keys. She blinked once more then grabbed his sleeve in a grip.
He inhaled sharply at being surprised "Roan? You alright? You should lay down an rest" he felt like his body was on fire. He turned and looked at her, her image and the scene he awoke to interchanging you where not to forget, you know the consequences yet you ignored them for her
Roan didn;t say anything, she just held onto him tighter. tilting her head she looked up at his face then stepped closer to him where her nose was right next to his chest.
Emotions arose and evaporated as soon as he was aware of them. He placed a hand on the small of her back "Roan?" you remember what she said, without you she will die and without her you will die, is that such a cruel fate for two people suffering so? he blinked back the words and images. He knelt down so that he was eye level with her "You should rest, your mind has been assaulted with more than what it ever could have been prepared to handle" he said softly yes, yes veil it, you know it will only be worse for you later.....but of course you are willing to take that risk aren't you?
Roan shook her head no, furiously. Slowly two tears trickled down her face. She tighten her grip on him even tighter if it was possible.
He tasted metal in his mouth, ignoring it he wrapped his arms around her "I won't force you Roan" fool! she rises with the moon, you rise with the sun you know what will happen if you tax yourself further. It's what brought on your coma, it's what cost you what you had he gave Roan a squeeze before tilting her chin up to look at him "Then what do you want to do then?"
something finally broke in side of her, causing the tears to cascade down her face. "H..Hold.....me. Don't leave me....alone." were the first words she had said all night.
He nodded "Ok" he nearly whispered, stroking her hair "I'm not going anywhere Roan, and that's a promise"
Roan's knees buckled as she cried. How could her family do this to her.. All she wanted was the truth, nothing more. However, at the moment her body was running low on energy, fracturing her mind more than it was all ready. At the moment she was her weakest as most vulnerable, which was why she needed Turan. "Please don't go anywhere! please." she cried out.
He felt his mind swim with conflicting emotions then he smiled if i can fight through the coma then you are beaten he held her tight "Roan, i'm not going anywhere" he said firmly
Something in the way he said it finally made Roan believe he ment it. "Ok." she said softly. "Okay." She leaned her head on his chest and closed her eyes as the tears kept coming. She could feel that there was no way she was movie from this spot with out him carrying her. One, she never wanted to leave his arms. Two, her legs had officially given out, making it impossible to move.
He swept her off her feet, holding her securely in the crook of his arm. Fumbling for the key he made his way into the room. He outstretched his hand to light the candles when he stopped no that wouldn't be good he set her down on the couch, prying her loose "Just going to light the candles" he fished around for the match box in one of the droors
Roan went to grab his shirt, but he moved a bit too quickly, causing her to miss and tumble on the floor. she sat her self up right, waiting for him to come back to her. She felt so bare, a feeling only being in his arms had relieved. "Hurry." she hated the dark right now.
He picked her up after lighting the dozen and a half candles "I told you i'm not going anywhere" he said softly. The candles seemed to flicker unusually look, come and see the show your recklessness will cause or foolish one he ignored the goading, tormenting voice, concentrating on Roan which seemed to do the trick as far as driving away the unbidden images.
Roan leaned her head on his chest as he held her, warmth started to make its way slowly into her body. She wasn't ready to talk herself, but she wish he would just talk to her.
He felt his own abilities slowly returning, though the forces involved where far more chaotic than what he could remember you would fight through this? Every year till now you have surrendered and emerged more powerful for it he smiled, he knew he was winning when he got that damnable voice to speak in plain terms, but the metalic taste began thickening in his mouth "You feel warmer than what you did a few minutes ago. That's good" he felt blindly under the couch for something to prop his head up against with his free hand.
"mmm." Roan mumbled, snuggling closer to him. She could hear his heart beat, the sound soothed her and made her realize that both of them were at least still alive right now.
He gave up his search, settling the whirlpool his head had turned into, at least artificialy sooner or later the dam will break and what will that leave you with? "Peace and quiet at last" Turan said out loud, drawing his arm back around Roan. His eyelids felt heavy as his body relaxed finally, inspite of the severe shock and pain.
"turan." Roan said, with her eyes closed. "Why do you think people from our past want to cause us so much pain?"
"Some times there are things that stay with you because they don't want you to live your life without them. When we try to break those bonds or ease them, then that's when the pain sets it" he paused as his eyes opened and just like that she got you, i wonder what would happen if i hadn't died on that day, oh how your wife and Malek both hated me, but you understood me didn't you? he was growing impatient with the voice, causing his bodies temp to rise slightly "The past though is simply the past, to be honest though i'm not entirely sure why"
Roan shook her head. "The past is more than simply simple, nor do we ever try to forget and break them. We carry the past around with us and learn to live with it because it shaped who were are right now. Even if you can not remember it is apart of you. The past should be forgiven never forgotten." Roan said, holding Turan tighter to her. She felt that he was going to float away from her at any moment. "Some times i just feel so alone."
"Sometimes forgetting the past is helpful, but forgetting the lessons taught is never good. It is good to forgive, and forget but only if in doing so it will leave you better off. That is why i have tried so hard to remember what i have forgotten, in order to learn from it....grant it that has issues by it self but that is another matter entirely" i see, your using the finite pain cause by her holding on to you in order to ignore me...it won't work. You think she'll be around much longer? Good heavens no not in her state he sighed, reaching back and undoing the braid he had his hair in, not sure what to say about the alone remark.
Roan giggled as his hair tickled her nose. She lifted her hand to twirl a piece. "You'll find happiness, we both will." She said gaining her courage back. "WE'll just have to fight for it." She sighed and leaning back into him. "I think it's good we're so different."
"Course it is, if we where all the same then life would be damningly boring. As to happiness well i have the entire worlds' life to wait, so then it follows only time will tell" he allowed himself to laugh.
"Nah, no point on relying on time to get something you want." roan said. "We'l create our own happiness now. No matter what, from this point forward, nothing is going to take my happiness again. I wont let it. I've made a decision." She announced.
"And so it shall be" he smiled you mean, you'll see to it happening and the only way that will change is over your dead body
"And turan." Roan said, lifting her head to look him straight in the eyes. "My happiness depends on you living, okay." She tucked some hair behind his ears. "You're very important to me so please ignore all suicidal tenancies, fight all those enemies you've seem to cumulative, and please to the utter most importance don't let you're past haunt you till the point you give up. If you need any help with these things let me know."
He paused, slightly surprised "I've never been suicidal Roan, so if it is my living that your happiness depends on then you needn't worry. I'm not going any where, as to my enemies well....they tend to be ghosts who tend to have wills of their own" he sighed why do you not chasten her? What does she know about waking in your own families blood?! And i may be a ghost but i damn well know what it's like, only i had the decency to die!
Roan place her knees on each side of Turan on the couch, then grabbed his face in her hands. "Part of you wishes you had died that night as your family did." Tears stated to prickle down her face. "That same parts takes on risky situations to try and see if you'll die too." She tried hard to hide her feelings for this man, but she failed miserable. "You lived for a reason, and as selfish as this may seem I'm so very glad you did. And I say screw those stupid wills who have yet to let go. They need to forgive themselves first." She felt shaky and knew soon she was going to collapse into him. She knew she needed to say the last part before she lost the will. "Damn it, i.. i..."
He sat up, to say he was surprised would be an understatement "Yes...yes part of me wishes i had died right then and there when i awoke, but those same voices, those same voices who have been tormenting me also are the reason why i haven't given up" he said slowly "Giving up on life would be pointless, i knew then that there's a reason why i didn't die, and i'm beginning to thank myself for it Roan" he brushed a tear from her eye "And i agree...to hell with the ghosts but unless i take a hallucinogenic they simply won't go away so i'm left with ignoring them...quite like an irritating toddler that won't stop crying"
Roan giggled at his toodler comment, a waterly chuckle. "Well here this you mean voices, leave him alone!" She demanded. "WE have a life to live and i plan on living with him." She sighed and leaned her face in the hand that had wiped her tear. "I love you, you know." She just said it like a fact.
All he could do was smile "I love you to Roan, and if you start yelling at things that technically aren't there people will think you insane...though what is normal anyways?" he sighed "And like i said, i won't leave you, and i don't plan on going any where any time soon"
"Good." She said, "Because i don;t plan on letting you." She sighed and returned to her previous position. "And The voices are there, and i don't think ignoring them is a good idea, but for now we should get some rest and continue talking in the morning."
He shook his head amused at the idea of her trying to stop him in the off chance he ever considered changing his mind "Oh i know ignoring them isn't a good idea, normally i do what is commonly known as fasting to divert my attention to them...but such things require time and that is better placed elsewhere" he sighed "Yes that we should, and undoubtedly Nadya at least will have plenty of worries and questions in the morning"
"She probably will." Roan asked, opening her eyes to see the bed. "Could you carry me to the bed and snugggle up to me while we sleep." Roan asked with a blush.
He nodded "As you wish" he picked her up and just w.. he cut the voice off as he carried her "Would you like to return to your room or stay here?"
"Here is fine." Roan said. "The place has never mattered, just the people your with." she said through drowsiness. "Plus your probably just as tired as i am, you just have the ability to walk."
He set her down, placed the blanket over her before laying down next to her "Tired is a relative term my dear" he said absentmindedly draping an arm over her "Goodnight" he kissed the back of her head before turning over don't kid yourself, you should know that it won't last he smiled and how do you know that? Shut up an leave me be, as to meditation well i'll have plenty of time to do that while she's down stairs being hurassed by Porter he began drifting off to sleep and yet you know you need that to maintain the stability of your elemental psyche
Roan smiled, and when she thought he had drifted off she turned over to snuggle into his side. She briefly sat up and kissed his cheek. "I don;t plan on leaving you either." She whispered then laid her head back down next to his.
He smiled before nodding off completely, his brow and arms began sweating. His mind while at ease still had the dreams to wrestle with.
It took awhile, but Roan did finally get to sleep; however, she was surprised when she didn't recognize her surroundings and wasn't even sure if this was her dream.
Turan awoke, dazed he looked around at the woods and dirt road "What the hell?" he felt beneath him, pulling up a fist full of red earth "Don't worry, you're only dreamin" A blood stained, blonde haired woman said softly "Great, you again. What is it this time hmm? To think i actually thought i'd sleep peacefully" she turned and faced him, half her face was gone and immediately the landscape changed to a charnal pit, dead or dying bodies and the stench of death every where "Turan...don't you want to know what happened?" he shook his head bitterly "It always cuts out! Always the same thing, why should this be any different?" he felt something trickling along his arms and hands. He held a hand up. It was covered in blood, he felt his forehead only to groan as it to was the same thing "Just tell me i'm not waking her and get on with whatever you want to tell me" the woman laughed, a gurggling gory laugh "No you aren't making a sound, sweating abit but otherwise no"
"Not that i'm not going to be dragged in here anyway." Roan said as she stood up from a pile of dead bodies. When the scenery changed she had fell, hard. "I don't mean to interrupt, but it looks as if someone finds it funny to launch me into other's private thoughts. I am truly sorry." She bowwed to both of them. "This is your privacy as much as his." Roan told the woman.
She smiled, not happy at the intrusion "No matter..you'll see the replay as well" the scene transformed again, the stench and bodies disappeared. Replaced by an encamped group. Turan started, shaking his head "I've seen this already Which! She doesn't need to see it" the woman turned "Oh but you should know by now that i care not for anyones' torment" a horse and rider came into view "What news from ahead Turan?" an elf woman asked smiling "Clear, the town wasn't affected by the spate of raids so we" he leaned over an kissed her "Are free to continue" she turned back to the other two blurred figures. Another approached from the south, hooded and slinking through the brush before disappearing. The Scene then shifted to the night, this time Turan's entire family plus a guest, the Which stood off observing them. Turan looked on as the dream took shape, shuddering.
Roan slowly made her way to Turan and placed a hand on his arm. "I do need to see this, and you need to see this with me." She said to him. "As cruel as this woman is being, she is doing what you wanted. You wanted your past, and this is it." She stood on her toes and kissed his cheek. "I'm just not going to let you do it alone." She turned to the other person. "lets get this over with. I can't believe it's not painful for you too to watch this. No point in making you feel any more pain either."
He placed his arm on her. He heard horses drawing nearer. The Which was running back towards the camp when two riders rode up, one picked her up with a muffled cry. Twelve other stormed the sleepy camp. The first to die was Turans' son, four darts pierced his chest as he stumbled to his knees, his daughter killed two before meeting a similar fate. Turan could be seen urging his wife to run. The which could be heard screaming "Don't whach Roan" he turned away from the scene back to his family. His wife finally, reluctantly ran with tears in her eyes. Turan turned to fight the now dismounted riders. Three fell in short order. Then Malek showed up. Adled by sleep, Turan was hardly prepared to fight the assassin who delivered a sickening blow to the back of his head.
"Don't look away!" Roan said to him strongly. "We need to face this together!" She watched, with tears in her eyes, as his family died. "IF you can;t do this for yourself, at least do it for them, your family. For them to exist in your heart always you need to remember how they died." She held on to him tighter by wrapping her arms around his waist. "I know it's hard, but i believe in you."
"I was refering to the whitch being raped" he looked over to where her ruined form lay slumped against the tree "I don't want you to experiance anymore of this nightmare than what you have to" he walked over to his unconcious form as his wife was brought back. He shuddered as he saw himself brought back into concieousness and forced to whatch her torture and murder "And to think if you'd continued through to the town this wouldn't have happened" The woman smiled. When the surviving bandits where through with her, they mercifully ended her suffering, Turan was then once again knocked unconcieous "We should kill him" Malek shook his head "No, this will do, and when he does remember it will be quite fun" he bent down an poured a sickly green substance down his throat. Then it shifted to dawn
"We have to watch it all, it's important." Roan said and brought herself closer to Turan. "Just remember i'm right here with you." She brushed some of his fee flowing hair from his face. "After all when you meet my mom you;ll have all new nightmares." She joked with him. "Now let's let the woman finish her showing her images. Oh, and if you call her a witch one more time i'm going to poke you till you cry."
He smiled, jumping as the roar of flames swept over the whole area. When the fires subsided he saw himself waking up, that smell of burnt flesh assailed his nose and caused his stomach to twist "I'd take your mothers nightmares over this...this is only the start to" the woman turned to Roan, her eyes glowing "No the name is quite correct" she turned as the drugged Turan staggered to his feet in confusion. The woman freed herself from her bonds "Turan, Turan! Help me" she begged, crawling along the ground. Turan winced as he saw himself turn tail and run, to frightened and confused "You see, after you ran i freed my spirit from my body" the where then transported to the bleak forest road, Turan staggering along injured an confused at the burned trees and dead things. Turan exhaled as he followed, dreading what might come next. They came upon the ruins of a town, the citizens all of whom where in various states of dissmemberment, most wretchedly so. Turan shuddered. The woman appeared in front of him "You are the reason i am not able to leave this world Turan, if you had been here, you would have kept them from all dying. You abandoned them" she said as the dazed form of Turan collapsed "And then Abarhi found you nearly a week later..pity you weren't eaten alive"
"I'm so sorry for your pain." Roan said to the woman. "No one should ever have to go through that." Roan rubbed Turan's back as she spoke. "He married a strong woman, one stronger than him." She closed her eyes then opened them "However, he is not the same man as he was back then."
Her eyes turned blood red "Really? He's not, because he looks the same" she shook her head "I have a proposistion for you Turan. Abandon her, as you did me and i will no longer torment you, the visions the pains, the blood. It will all go away"
Turan laughed "Even in death you are still out of your mind. No i will not, and before you continue on accusing me of abandoning you. You where dead" he said bluntly "Your mind was dead, your aura that of one who had passed on and i wasn't about to sit there and ponder when i thought my wife might still be alive" he turned as he saw Abarhi come upon the ruined and deserted city "I will live with what i've incured whoever you are. I never bothered to get your name. You've tormented me for seven hundred years and haven't succeeded in anything"
She laughed "You didn't let me finish, but no matter since you've chosen your path you will die and so i've heard so to will she" Turan shook his head "Again, even in death you are still out of your mind. I won't die simply because i do not intend to die, nor will i leave her to the wolves simply because...well you know" he cut himself off "What? That you sweat blood? That your element has become destabilized because you wouldn't listen to me when i actually was trying to help you"
Turan turned back "That has only made me stronger, not weaker. You can't have her"
Roan was starting to get angry that they were talking about her like she wasn't there. "Will you both stop playing ping pong with each other with your hurtful words." She yelled out. "You've both wronged each other. You've both messed up and you both are too stubborn for your own good." She sighed. "May I ask why you hate me so much." Roan asked the woman. "I don;t wish to replace you, if anything i'd ask for your wisdom. You're a lot stronger, honest and wiser than my mother. I could use a bit of that in my life."
She smiled as Turan simply walked further up "He an i are really so much alike" she said coyly "But no matter, he is mine to torment, and i know you won't replace me. You can't get inside his head and do what i do" she grinned "He abandoned me, after pulling me free from what had been hell he left me to die, i called to him. He heard me, and it was because he heard me and did nothing that he is left with me. His wife and children never liked me, his son even tried to kill me. No matter, they died, to bad i had to as well"
Turan turned slowly "You did everything in your power to drive those i loved away from me, i pulled you from that wretched place and gave you a new life" he paused at the intense pain that washed over him. His hands and arms began turning red as blood seeped from his eyes "What kind of existance is this?" he asked her "Let yourself rest, the only thing that even sustains your spirit body here is the finite pain you cause me. For your own sake at least....let yourself be at rest" there was no pleading in his voice "I know i say this every time we meet, but i do pity you, the only thing you've known for seven hundred years is the inside of my head. Why? To what end if you know i'm not going to cave?" he paused again as pain washed over him. The woman stood silently, a dark smile and coal black eyes stared back at him.
Roan sighed. "I very much doubt she wants your pity, Turan. I know if i had it i would torment you to just out of spit." Roan looked up and Turan then back at the woman. "You know i do have to power to get inside of his head, but i've chosen not to. Sometimes i simple just don;t want to know what he is thinking because i know it'll tick me off." That's when an idea hit her. "YOu love him." Roan said to the woman.
"Love?" she snorted in laughter "God no, i'm only bound to him as he said for revenge. And you're in his head because believe it or not he has let you" she turned to Turan "I know you grow tired of my games, in truth you're the only one who ever gave a shit about me, but letting you go would be to easy"
Turan sighed, a smile crept over his face "No matter, you see i've won our little bet. The blue moon is setting and so to will your strengh" he laughed as panic came over her "You'll be gone soon enough, or at the least weakened once again to the point where you're a noxious voice in my head. Yes i am tired of your games, and yes i did care about you. All that was done away though when you told me you revealed to Malek where we where and that we where unguarded"
In the main tavern, Nadya sat down at one of the tables sadly. "Gurthar....am I even needed here?"
Gurthar smiled sympathetically "When she comes to she'll be happy to have someone other than Turan...if his condition is what i understand it to be then he'll be happy to have a friend or two"
Nadya looked at him. "You think so? I really hope so...."
"Neither of them will be the same come morning Nadya though yes you being here will mean alot to her"
Nadya smiled softly at him. She stood up and hugged him. "Thank you for saying that..."
"I'm not trying to only make you feel better Nadya, but you're welcome" he sighed "Also, don't be startled if Turan wanders into the kitchen with blood coming from his ears...he's not injured...physically, just mentally overtaxed..a peculiar trait that comes about from traumatic past and his innate element"
"I..." She looked up at him. "I should go then...I don't want to be tempted...."
"What do you mean by tempted?"
Nadya looked down. "Well...the first time I met Turan...he had been in a fight at another tavern.... someone was trying to get to Roan I think....I had just met them....well, he ended up covered in blood....drenched in it....and I almost attacked him in blood lust...he gave me some of his blood to keep me away....of course, I was starving for blood...and was trying not to attack anyone before....trying to just sip water... but it wasn't really helping..."
He nodded "I could offer you some of mine if your thirst is that strong"
Nadya smiled softly. "Thanks... it's not that its strong....it was that I hadn't drink in some time....I hadn't come across any bandits for over a week....and Turan's blood....it was like a shock...that's all..."
"A shock? How do you mean?" Gurthar sat up, curious now
"I had never had blood like his before...it was fresher than human blood...." Nadya looked at Gurthar. "I'm scared...." she whispered.
"Well for one he's not human so that may have something to do with it" he looked at her "You have nothing to fear Nadya why are you scared?"
"I know he's not...he's elven...as to my fear...." she said softly. "I just feel so small and out of place....and...." She stopped, and looked away from him. "I am scared that I'm not who I should be....that I haven't lived up to my family name..."
"Can't live up to your family name? I'm not sure what you mean" he paused "If it's the title and security you're worried about then once you get your families estate back, which you will when this is all over than you can be concerned with that. You worry yourself into a frenzy to much Nadya"
"It's not the estate...nor is it the title or security....it's the name that my father must have built over his years...a name that I don't know if I'm helping or hurting....like...I think now, that it was the council meetings that my father had gone to every so often, but had only spoken to my brother about it....the goal of coexistance with all races, including your's Gurthar...."
"Well you heard Porter mention helping you find your brother. Meaning he's alive and that any doubts you might have i'm sure he will set straight" he yawned.
He smiled "You asked me to be here and i didn't want to leave you alone" he yawned again "Now before you worry yourself sick i suggest you get some rest" he said walking up the stairs "Let it be till morning, this night has been...eventful"
"Thank you for being here..." she said, hugging him.
