2008-10-08 [Cina]: I'm going to go with Lothuriel on this one. The mere idea of offering your "expert opinion" to people who not only didn't ask for it, but that aren't even known by the one criticizing comes off as arrogant. Whether you are or are not actually arrogant (although the distasteful comment about monthlies would imply the former), that is the way your comments are percieved.

2008-10-08 [SirWaka]: Besides,
I posted in a normal way, in no way insulting to you.
And what I get?
Being called a jerk, hypocrit, arrogant, and catty replies,
So once it backfires on you, you act like you do...

2008-10-08 [Lothuriel]: I am by no means on your level. The comment you made was personal and totally uncalled for. I was not angry when I wrote what I did and now, your arrogance astounds me! You are now claiming to know what I am thinking and how I feel. I was more than ready to have a wonderful discussion about the freedoms of creativity and perspectives of art but, you had to turn it into something ugly.  And now...now you are wanting to somehow imply that this is my fault? That somehow I am narrow minded after you and I stress you make such a comment toward me as you did? You come to me and say something so petty and immature as "that time of the month" and then dare call me out on being narrow minded?

2008-10-08 [SirWaka]: as I said in the post I wrote while you were writing this :)

2008-10-08 [Mortified Penguin]: There's no need to fight over me! Stop it! ...there's plenty to go around! ...at Bob's Diner of course... *eats ramen*...

2008-10-08 [Lothuriel]: *slobers on Mort*

2008-10-08 [Kyrinn]: *steps in* Well, [SirWaka], you DID start this off on a negative playing field. You felt the need to come in here and voice why a couple of the ones up there are not worthy of being int he voting at all. This, Sir, can be called flaming. :) And then using that tired out old "It must be that time of the month" as a general blanket as to why [Lothuriel] commented back was another not so nice method of commentary.

This is a poll, not a place to throw around insults and point the finger. Take this to private messages, please.

2008-10-08 [SirWaka]: I felt you two were making problems where there should be non,
and got annoyed with it since after replying three times, it still kept on going, while in my first few posts I gave to know there was no offence meant anywhere to anyone.
And still I kept being treated as if I was a very bad person for voicing my opinion.

But you are right,
Saying it was 'that' time of the month was uncalled for.
I could've said it in a different way that I felt you were just being difficult about nothing.

You might not critique until asked,
And I will do it unasked.
Thats your way, that my way.
You wont change yours, I wont change mine.
It should not have to be a problem.
I'll just know I won't ever critique your work until asked.
So no need to worry about that.
And you know that I would appreciate it if it goes unasked.

I apologise for bring up 'that' time of the month,
I'm sorry I insulted you.

2008-10-08 [Lothuriel]: thank you

2008-10-08 [Cina]: Alright, I just have to say. It really looks like you were writing a limerick in your last post, [SirWaka]. I was kind of impressed. But you probably didn't.

if you had, however
I would have found it rather clever.

2008-10-09 [Phantazzm]: When does the poll end?

2008-10-09 [Lothuriel]: 1000 votes..I think...

2008-10-09 [Phantazzm]: Seriously? O_O; Good lord..

2008-10-09 [Kyrinn]: I thought it was 500 typically.

2008-10-09 [Lothuriel]: I couldn't remember.

2008-10-09 [Cina]: I thought it was based upon the lunar calendar.
Or was that the aztec calendar..?

Or some combination of the two?

WAIT. I have it! The mating habits of the wolverine.

2008-10-09 [Kyrinn]: <img:stuff/m-jpg.gif> You totally lost me there, [Cina]

2008-10-09 [Cia_mar]: traditionally it has been 1000, but recently, since there are not as many active members anymore, they generally will run the poll till it reaches 500 (or as close to that as it will get, after being up for a really long time with no changes)

2008-10-09 [Cina]: Are you sure? I'm pretty sure it had something to do with the migratory patterns of sandhill cranes..

2008-10-09 [SilverFire]: That sounds so much cooler, I vote we do it that way.

2008-10-10 [Cia_mar]: :)
