Remember Me Not

Remember me not, my love
Through the dark days of war
Do not lay down and grieve
Though death is not far

Mourn me not, my love
For it is for you whom which I fight
Through the time of despair
You are my only light

The failing light
The dawn bright
The coming renewal
After the wrath of the night

Hold me not, my love
As the air is tight with fear
We hold onto sweet memories
For our time draws near

As we fight to the death
To the heavens above
With our very last breath
For those who we love

Remember me not, my love
Though I shall not forget...

Glorious and Terminal

Keep the hearts of family with me;
I'm finally, permanently on my way.
This place will only remain to be
My home for seven days.
Falling flat, charred, and broken
In the polluted Androscoggin:
Watching beautiful red and orange as my bridges burn away.
