Well, I’m a writer first and foremost, though unfortunately I have a tendency to procrastinate and whenever I’m upset I can’t write - hence swearing off relationships for a while, to the utter bewilderment of my friends, who are either happily taken or nuns (male nuns, long story).
I’m at university, still live at home because I’m poor, but I suppose that’s better for me. Free board and food everyday, can’t complain about that. When not studying (which is all the time - when it comes to REAL work I’m terribly lazy. All my revision for a subject usually takes place the morning before an exam, I’m either lucky or a genius - let’s stick with lucky) I’m writing, doodling, collecting sketches from strangers in a big sketchbook (the collection is quite interesting) or traveling. I love traveling when I can do my own thing, ie wander round the place, try talking to people in their own language (even though my language skills are appalling other than in my own tongue), visiting beautiful places, eating stuff that isn’t out of a fast food chain. I’m not one for the ‘touristy’ stuff, which reminds I really need to find traveling companions better suited to me. And of course there’s also reading, listening to music, good films, hanging out with/ consoling my crazy friends.
I suppose I come over more cynical than I really am. Inside, I have strong romantic beliefs. I believe in true love (but I’m not pining for it, I’ll get there like I do everything else in life), see beauty and strive to create it, and I have unwavering hope that no matter how dire things get in any aspect of my life, if I stick to my morals and my passions (writing) life and love will out.
I’m an eclectic creature. I like it that way, taking what I like from whatever interests me. I suppose that can’t be helped. It’s in the blood. My heritage is Scottish, Irish, Vikings and fairy tales. I wouldn’t like to be one of many in a modern tribe. It would constrict me far too much. Though I’ll admit, being as I am is a little lonely sometimes.
I currently have around 18 emo-kid stalkers. They follow me round the campus telling me how they want to die and giving me crappy angsty poems to read. God! When did the world get so damn mopey? Use your talents to make your life better, don’t spend you’re time on earth as a perpetual bloody victim. Or at least, leave me out of your fashionable pain and let me get on with what I love. Just because I’m alone, dressed in black and writing in the middle of George Square, don’t expect me to be your best mate.
I believe that in life, you should strive for your dreams, to be the best person you can be, but you should never restrict the freedoms of, or cause suffering to innocent people.
I’ve been told I swear too much, in my opinion that’s bollocks.
I do like to chat to people online, but please, no “Hi”, “Hey” or “YoU’rE hOt” messages, and definitely no bloody chain messages I won’t reply (cause you haven’t even had the courtesy to read this). Also, I wish more people would voice their own thoughts, I’m sick of that bloody story about the motorcycle accident and all those damn surveys.
Favourite Book - The Last Unicorn by Peter Beagle(I learned to read from it before I went to school)
Favourite Song - Tonight Tonight by the Smashing Pumpkins
Favourite Band - Within Temptation
Favourite Film - Millennium Actress (utterly astonishing in every way, I’d recommend it to everyone)
Favourite Poem - I'm Happiest When Most Away by Emily Bronte. I had it up, but I don't want to get in trouble over the new writing rules. Go find it, it's a good poem and won't take much of your time.
To do before I die - Finish and have published the three most important of my novels. My heart novels.
And now I have a DeviantART gallery
Ok, that’s it.
Im a Member of the Bush Haters Association
And I do I hate him. Which means a lot, as one of the rules I live by is, love freely, hate only those who deserve it, so Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini, General Pinochet, Thatcher, Blair and Bush. Anyone who sacrifices the needs of people in the name of bloodlust and greed!
I have to believe in them, the fae play an important part in my family history.
Why are so many people against love anyway?
I won something! I'm so happy!
My winning entry
