Hi, my name is Cara, or Carrie, whichever really. I'm 22, and I'm married. I have two amazing kids, which kind of limits the time I have for writing unfortunately. I still try to get on here every once in awhile when I'm able to.

I love to read, write, listen to music,all the normal stuff that people like to do. I used to write poetry quite a lot and some of my things have been featured here on Daily Poem. I like to talk to all different kinds of people, as long as those people remain respectful.

Fallible Romance

One thousand roses
Full of thorns
Simple mind, tired and worn
One million chances to scorn
An inevitable infatuation was born.


Over My Head

Drowning
It's over my head, over my head.
I can't seem to reach the top again
or even brush the sides
My feet grow heavier with every kicking attempt at survival.
Faces peer down at me,
offering no hand of salvation.
It's over my head, over my head,
and I wonder briefly how it came to this,
which slip caused the fall,
which mistake ruined it all.
