The net keeps evicting my computer. If I stop replying I promise I am not ignoring anybody. Okay, I'm not necessarily ignoring you. :P
Well, the first week of classes began slowly, nicely...
-I have a web course
-A night class
-4 classes grouped in twos
There were 4 screw ups at the bookstore involving my classes alone including not ordering two books and ordering two of the wrong books for classes. And one person wouldn't let my friend buy notebooks, pens and pencils with his financial aid because they're apparently not school material since dumbasses buy hoodies and pants etc.
Tommy will run extended tournaments for us for Magic: The Gathering.
I have the two assignments I had due turned in already and am looking toward 15 more weeks of being challenged. Plus when Matt and I have our own place I will have more flexible hours with Elftown, class and everything else.
Well, after a long day I'm turning in. G'night ET. :3
We've stayed up waaay past our bedtime. To sleep we shall go. G'nights :3
It's snowing pretty hard right now. We're supposed to get a half foot today into tonight. It almost looks like a white out. Hopefully this isn't a precursor to a repeat of last year's blizzard. I'm not in the state of health to deal with malnutrition because of no electricity. :/ And we have no money as is so there'll be no buying of bottled water to drink either...let alone food we can eat without heating it.
I had the random inspiration to draw a handful of Yu Yu Hakusho characters fairly well. I may color them and use them for my laptop decoration. I've wrote over 14,000 words in my current work and it isn't even close to finished. It seems odd, but it is hardly an introduction to the events of the novel.
Going shopping. 2 weeks exactly until school starts, so that'll be wonderful. Be back a little later. :)
I am fairly under the weather. Hopefully it'll pass soon but I've been like this for a fair while now. Sorry for the absence today. I was in bed for over 12 hours and the rest I spent trying to get an appetite :/
Happy New Year though.
Being Human- A British supernatural dramedy(sp?) about a ghost, a vampire and a werewolf trying to be as human as possible. I watched the first episode and loved it. Recommended to those of you who love a good killing pidgeons with a shoe joke.
Okay, with a mild case of the flu I managed last second shopping, met up with the family and to get home in one piece.
I've been writing tidbits here and there with my prominent vampire story, witch/warlock story and assassin story.
I've been craving pumpkin stuff out of nowhere.
I am in the mood to write or draw.
(The above sentences getting progressively smaller was an accident.)
Goodnight, Elftown. I've been feeling awful. We'll see if I feel better tomorrow.
Notes to self.
Scan SS pic and send it to silvie.
Copy down diary onto paper for shrink's visit tomorrow.
Run magic page by magic rookies to see how it looks. Work more on magic pages.
Elftown Expansion Lobbying-go brag about yourself!
...On another note: you know you watch too much South Park when you can translate/clos
Woot! First semester GPA is a 3.312! ...not on the dean's list but certainly not bad for two years out of school and for the first ever college semester.
Next semester is all philosophy except Women's Studies and Creative Writing. All level 300+ classes but one 200 for the next semester. Hopefully the following semester allots me an English Comp II substitute since I need it for that whole other major thing.
I can't wait to pick up my papers and look over the final tests next semester.
Day 1-Idiosyncrasi
but good night of sleep, fell asleep fast last night
Day 2-Still groggy and filled with drowsiness, lack of motivation and emotional fits.
Slept fair enough last night. Woke up a few times, a little groggy and sleepy after being up for a few hours.
Day 3-Almost fell asleep in class a lot
Day 4 Slept soundly last night, fell asleep in short intervals on the ride home from school. Hand twitching and talking with hands is still continuing.
Day 8-The hand twitches and compulsions are the same. I have been sleeping longer and falling asleep as well as staying asleep while I'm down. So far the medication has no effects on my mood swings, though.
Day 11-12-Well, I've been able to sleep for a lot longer, including going to sleep again for another four hours after being woken up with a full eight hours of sleep down...and I was either hallucinating or awake during REM sleep.
Well, the family get-together is happening today. I'll be gone until at least some time tomorrow. Happy Fooding Day.
The order of operations is important especially outside of math. Remember to pillage first and then burn everything to the ground.
This sums up Gary Stus and Mary Sues.
I was a perfectly nice guy and they all ruined my life for no reason. -Kuzko (rough misquote from Emperor's New Groove)
Just to lighten the mood:
God walks into the garden of Eden. He approaches Adam and Eve and says: I have two gifts, one for each of you. I want you to decide who gets which gift. The first gift is the ability to pee standing up.
Adam jumps on it: I'd love to pee while standing up! That one's mine!
God replies: Alright. It is done. Eve, this is your gift then. Multiple orgasms.
And now for the rant. I saw a show advertised about people who lost their house and they had to step down to another level of welfare, foodstamps, low paying jobs with bad hours and the whole shebang. And they were crying. Now, I guess the show is supposed to be inspirational.
But what about those people who were born in poverty, grew up in poverty and who will die in poverty? Are their lives not interesting because they go to a thrift store for clothes, because they know how to use foodstamps, because they go to the food bank, because McDonalds manager is a life goal? Oh, well, I suppose being born a certain way makes your story uninteresting and touchy channels are only interested in a change of lifestyle.
People would cry if they had seen what poverty is really like. I live in one of the most poverty stricken areas in the country and I know what it's like to know there's no Santa Claus because mommy couldn't afford to put gifts under the tree. I know what it's like to skip school on Halloween because costumes aren't in the budget that doesn't even cover the bills. I have seen others live through it and I have lived through it, but I suppose since I was used to it it's not a story. I suppose that the single mother who works 3 jobs and misses out on time with her kids so she can make the bill payments isn't inspirational.
Television really irks me.
Well, today was short. I caught up in metaphysics reading...iden
Okay, so my class today went well. I think I understand the symbols. I may have to clarify them in the book or memorize them like I had AEIO sentences. Natali said he'd sign me into anything and Foxy-loxy approved my approach to hopping into philosophy. So that is awesome. Earlier today I had felt true relief, though. I truly knew that it was not a mystery, but that it exists and that it can be acknowledged by others. I am no longer a medical mystery in one aspect and in December we will see if the initial diagnosis is really what it was said to be. Magic proved entertaining today as well. I lost twice but won in a 4-way match. My writing is suffering aside from my assignments, but that'd be what my English class for next semester will serve to make up to me. Feeling alright with shrimp alfredo and hot cocoa.
Also, as a hilarity note: I love my professor Dr. Fox. My first day of Logic and Language I stood up to leave the commuter center 10 minutes before his class would begin. Justin (now known as Shnookums) asked me which class I had and I replied: Logic and Language and asked if he knew who taught it. He said Fox. I asked if he had had Fox before because if he sucked as a teacher I would drop the class and add another one in its place. He told me that he never had him but he overheard a lecture of his and Fox seems to know what he's talking about. So I went to class and we played with a few semantics, covered the course's syllabus and what is expected of us before he dismissed us. Satisfied with his eccentricities and teaching style as well as pool of knowledge I returned to the commuter center. Justin was still there and he inquired if Fox was the instructor for the class [this sentence bothers me for some reason grammatically]. I replied, "Yes, Foxy-loxy teaches Logic."
So...that random Henny Penny Chicken Little memory mixed with a teacher's name gave him the nickname Foxy-loxy to me and eventually to my friends (mostly women, oddly enough). Well, I am focusing on my Philosophy major next semester and Foxy-loxy instructs Aesthetics--AK
Just think about reading that on a contract or something super official.
Okay, so today I took a test that I am feeling pretty confident about. I was also caught up by Foxyloxy with everything I missed on Tuesday--and I find that Foxyloxy is my advisor for my philosophy major! (I absolutely love him for those of you who have never had him for class to know how awesome he is.) Uh, I have a 3.0 my first semester of college and I was inadvertently advised by 1 of my advisors today, gotta see Prof. Natali tomorrow about getting into Creative Writing Seminar...I am forced back to the doctor's tomorrow, sadly and I will probably have a few gripes about the doctors and traveling and missing a few other classes...*gro
