11. Saved everything as .psd, closed Painter, opened Photoimpact, loaded the whole thing (using 'open each layer as a separate object'). Time for wings! I'm not going to detail how exactly I drew them, have a look at wing tutorial for a detailed account on that. Also drew the two strands in vectors - they're a bit too long to keep my hand nice and steady and draw them with a normal brush in Painter - might be possible with a Wacom, but definitely not with a Trust tablet. Besides, I was going to make them colorful, so getting smooth edges ahead of time would simplify the coloring process remarkably.
