Featured Wiki Nominations

This is where you can nominate wiki-pages to be featured on Main Street!

Nomination Rules:

1. You may nominate your own wiki-page, or the wiki-page of another person/group.

2. Give us a good reason for the nomination! If we don't feel you provide a good enough explanation then we may remove the nomination, but you can always re-nominate it with a better text. And remember, the better your explanation of why it deserves to be featured, the more likely it is that it will appear on Main Street.

3. Some wiki-pages won't be featured, these are the kind that contain or promote:

-excessive violence
-adult material
-offensive and/or hateful materials
-any other material the Elftown Council deems unsuitable

4. If a page has already been nominated by someone else, please do not nominate it again. You may; however, add on to the reasons of why it should be featured on Main Street.

5. Be fun and creative! Let everyone know of the not-so-well-known wiki-page treasures out there! Spread the wiki love!

6. For a page to be rated, it must be exported, so it might be a good idea to export the page when you nominate it. Of course, if you forget, or aren't the owner, we'll pop along and ask you to export it when we featured it. If you don't want to export it, that's fine, it will still be featured, but won't get rated.

Why: because I can't help but put it up here. I want hellview to be something so great that people can't help but want to join. hellview is like a very small family.

Why: Well, it's a great story... quite riveting, if you ask me. Seeing as how you didn't ask me though, I suggest you read it for yourself. Thy god commands it! Go forth and read!

Page: Orctown

Why: Elftown is an amazing place, with many truly mystical races and beings, save the Orcs. We are down right ruthless, ugly, and rude. There needed to be a place in this beautiful town for our powerful race, where us Orcs could bash our heads and destroy without abandon together. Orctown has done that for us. The wiki has been around for quite awhile, enjoying a slowly rising amount of members, and boosting a rigorous RPG. Many of the members act just like our name sake, Orcs, and get along just fine. I nominate this wiki for it is truly a place where the Orcs of Elftown have come to enjoy. [Kitakaze] has done a wonderful job updating and keeping the wiki running smoothly, asking for help from his fellow Orcs few times, if at all. In short, Orcs rule... as does this wiki!

Why: Talent! Talent! Talent! Are you looking for the perfect images to decorate your ET house or wiki? Then look no futher than Elftown Graphics *Artsie_ladie*! Here there are literally thousands of graphics to browse through, everything from flowers to dragons, ice cream cones to holiday images. They are warm and beautiful to look at and come pre-sized so that you can always find one that will fit where you need it without trying to guess by putting the pixel number in the <img> tag.

Why: Because Elftown's one and only iippo needs our halp! She is being guarded by many killer satellites and requires help from all able bodied men and women.

Why: Sometimes you hear people complain about how difficult it is to express emotions over the internet, how it just doesn't come across right. This wiki is a sterling example for everyone who complains: do something about it! The page is a growing compilation of mood-images created over a long time, and it shows the whole gamut of human emotions as well as the artistic development through these cute little chibies.

Why: It's really sweet. [Tyr and Zao Hawk] has put a lot of effort into the things he has written and he means every single one of them. It's a wiki of meaning and I think it deserves to be recognised.

Why: It's just as the title says--it's a journey to health and a very inspiring one at that. I've kept my eye on it since its beginning and I've been impressed by the encouragement and inspiration between the maker and the watchers. I think it's wonderful to see someone brave enough to show their own personal Journey to Health with the hopes of having others follow in their footsteps and strive for a healthier existence.

Why: This wiki was created to honor the dragons and exalt the fantastic imagination of fantasy. Dragons Club is a people-friendly place always willing to welcome new members. This place was also forged to let others know how amazing dragons truly are and to show that they are more than just violence; they are also creatures of intelligence and, if they will it, creatures of peace. Like us, they can make decisions, but far more wiser than your common wiseman. Of our world in ancient history, dragons were known as gods to great civilizations and they were also a symbol of war and tranquility to some awe-inspiring cultures.

Page: I believe in Elftown

Why: To put it frankly, elftown has become another myspace. This wiki is for those who believe in what elftown is all about and for those who want to return to the way things used to be before people started turning it into a "chat site."
Its a wiki that is bringing together artists, authors, enthusiasts and offering them an outlet to connect, discuss and brainstorm ways of helping Elftown return to its former glory.

Page: The Dark Knight

Why: The Dark Knight was made to honor the fantastic movie that was placed in theaters July 18, 2008. It is also in rememberance of Heath Ledger (The Joker) who died January 22, 2008 before the movie's release. The wiki contains researched information about Batman and the Joker's origins, along with all you could find about The Dark Knight. It is an everyone-friendly club, always willing to welcome Batman fans near and far.

Why: The Elftown Academy is wonderful institution that has been painstakingly built up over the course of several years to educate and inform Elftowners in anything and everything that they could want or need to know. It offers a great opportunity to learn new things, have intelligent conversations on many topics, and even to get help with school work.
