2011-06-23 [kians mummy]: offence
2011-06-23 [kians mummy]: at the top on the banner, the last word describes you :)
2011-06-24 [Lord Josmar]: Whatever! You are SO a page Mort.
2011-06-24 [Paul Doyle]: I prefer Jimmy Page, though he's old and all that heroin destroyed his career post-Led Zeppelin.
2011-09-09 [-kg-]: <"correct spelling is offence. :)"
<"In the US “offense” is standard; in the UK use “offence.”>
Just to clarify the matter. :)
When doing a Google search on the specific term, "offence," the predominate spelling resulting from that search was "offense." Of course, that was searching from the U.S., which may or may not have significance in those results.
2011-09-09 [SilverFire]: All Elftown's official pages use UK English as standard, so for this page, the correct spelling is indeed 'offence'. I'd like to think most people are already aware of that particular difference between UK and American spelling, but maybe that's rather optimistic of me.
2011-09-09 [hanhepi]: i didn't realize that it was 'offense' for the US, and i live here. :/ i thought it was 'offence'.
2011-09-09 [SilverFire]: It's the same with 'defence' ('defense' in the US). The 's' is technically more logical, but it just looks so wrong to me. ._.
2011-09-09 [hanhepi]: it looks wrong to me too. :/
2011-09-09 [SilverFire]: You're secretly British!
2011-09-09 [hanhepi]: i must be! :O
2011-09-09 [Lord Josmar]: Lolz. I love all these subtle differences between the two countries, even though they speak the same language. Makes it hard for me to spot spelling errors, lol.
2011-09-09 [SilverFire]: Some of the differences are not so subtle, the similarity of language just disguises them. ;)
2011-09-09 [Lord Josmar]: Well the not so subtle ones I can occasionally spot. My mind doesn't even spot the subtle ones.
2012-12-16 : Bob's Diner! :D
