This place was beyond that, a place for artists and creative writers to co-exist and share their love for their chosen outlet from the real world. This here, these images, they are not art, they are not creative. I am honestly saddened to see that Elftown has been brought down to this level. Yes, I can see that people have left and this isn't the community it once was and maybe you do need to adapt to survive. I still did not expect a place like this, to post these sort of images. As I said, I didn't expect this place to just jump on the bandwagon with all the other places around the internet. Its sad. Very sad that its come to this.

It's not an official Elftown page, and thus not an Elftown gimmick, nor something you can judge the entire community by. It's not meant to be a serious page, it was made for myself and other people with a similar sense of humour. If it is not to your taste, then stop watching it. Perhaps you would rather move over to Art Wikis of Elftown, where you can more accurately judge whether Elftown's creativity has slipped or not.

Memes, by their very existence are about creativity and growth with the simple act of using them as a base for creating OC. Having a grand standard doesn't mean much when there is nothing new on the internet. Doesn't that come of as somewhat pretentious, saying that something is "gimmicky" and that the site is too good for them? Your standards are not the same as your neighbors.

Not to mention, Jesus wouldn't have been his real name anyway, it would have been Yeshua.

So, let's say I write a book. My main character is based off of [Viking] and has basically his same back story, but his name is Vikoenigsegg in my book and he has mystical powers. He goes on adventures that [Viking] doesn't go on and rebels against the government until his execution by Lord Stig of Topgeria. Does that mean Vikoenigsegg is a non-fictional character? I can back up claims that there's a person with a similar name and similar life and back story. But the character created in my book isn't real, because that's not an accurate description of [Viking]'s life. If [Viking] even exists at all, that is.

Of course, Jesus, according to the apocrypha, was kind of an asshole as a kid. But it was pretty awesome when a snake bit a boy, and Jesus commanded the snake to come back, suck the venom out of the boy, and then he blew it up (First Gospel of Infancy 18:13-16).

But, of course, The 27 books in modern Christian Bibles weren't declared official until over 300 years after Jesus allegedly walked the earth, and of course they decided to omit the COOL stories.
