2012-06-23 [Avaz]: Hahaha! ^_^
2012-06-23 [SilverFire]: Wait, what, Ford have a car called 'Super Duty'? <_< That's... uh...
2012-06-23 [Viking]: 'Super Duty' is a version of the F-series trucks.
2012-06-23 [SilverFire]: Just makes it sound like you have to pay twice as much tax for it or something...
2012-06-23 [Avaz]: Super Duty =/= the opposite of Duty Free :D
2012-06-23 [SilverFire]: Totally is. <_<
2012-06-23 [Triola]: I thought =/= meant the opposite of (sort of)? So are you saying Super Duty is the opposite of the opposite of Duty Free, i.e. the same thing? o.O
2012-06-23 [SilverFire]: =/= means equals not.
2012-06-24 [Viking]: Of course != is better than the silly =/=
2012-06-24 [Triola]: That's why I said '(sort of)'. I still feel equals not and 'the opposite of' in the same sentence changes the meaning of what he wanted to say.
2012-06-24 [Avaz]: I meant =/= to be "does not equal," THerefore, Super Duty does not equal the opposite of Duty Free.
That also means they are not the same thing. But they are not opposites. We clear now?
2012-06-24 [Triola]: But that's a very silly way to say it. Couldn't you just have written 'Super Duty =/= Duty Free'? That would have been clearer.
2012-06-24 [SilverFire]: But "super Duty =/= Duty Free" means "super duty is not duty free". Which, whilst completely true, is not the same thing as saying "super duty is not the opposite of duty free", which is what I was claiming it sounded like.
2012-06-24 [Triola]: This is making me confused >.< let's not use signs any more
2012-06-24 [Triola]: Agreed! *walks away* >.>
2012-06-25 [Avaz]: I win! \o/
2012-06-25 [Avaz]: Also, I notice Trin walked this way >.> and Silb walked this way <_<
I hope they didn't walk into each other in their attempts to walk away. :D
2012-06-25 [Triola]: No, we coordinated it. Our walking skills are pretty good like that.
2012-06-25 [Avaz]: Good to know, then. :)
2012-10-08 [Jitter]: I get all of these xD YAY
2012-10-08 [Triola]: Haha xD
2012-10-12 [iippo]: "Get all the memes!"
2012-10-12 [Avaz]: That's more like a meta-meme.
2012-10-12 [Mukki Tadi]: "One meme to rule them all..."
2012-11-01 [Company Awesome]: These are so funny. xD Totally made my night.
2012-11-01 [Triola]: :D
2012-11-01 [Mortified Penguin]: To be fair, some of the time hacked crew forums were actually to blame.
2012-11-08 [Igaehinvdo]: Nice
2012-11-28 [silent_voice]: Wow... I used to come here about five years ago. I honestly never expected this place to stoop to the level of Memes. This place was beyond that, a place for artists and creative writers to co-exist and share their love for their chosen outlet from the real world. This here, these images, they are not art, they are not creative. I am honestly saddened to see that Elftown has been brought down to this level. Yes, I can see that people have left and this isn't the community it once was and maybe you do need to adapt to survive. I still did not expect a place like this, to post these sort of images. As I said, I didn't expect this place to just jump on the bandwagon with all the other places around the internet. Its sad. Very sad that its come to this.
2012-11-28 [SilverFire]: We have one meme page, created by people who are still artists, who just happened to have a sense of humour and a bit of spare time, too. We have hundreds of artist gallery pages. Could I suggest this might be an overreaction on your part? (And that, perhaps, you might enjoy looking at those pages instead?)
2012-11-28 [Nekko fox]:
2012-11-28 [Nekko fox]: And so begins the great shit storm of our time....
2012-11-28 [Avaz]: Just remember to put down those little paper seat protectors first. Just in case.
2012-11-28 [Nekko fox]: Those are on back order, we'll just have to use the Mexican children we had imported last week, even if I hate wasting a good Paco..
2012-11-28 [silent_voice]: *chuckles* I knew that I would get that reaction. Goes to show though how much this place has slipped. I am just saying that this place didn't need gimmicks like this to get people in and putting up art and such. I agree, some Memes are good, but in my own personal opinion, they don't belong on a place like this. They belong on Reddit, 4chan, memebase etc. They've overtaken a lot of places just as a gimmick. Its just a shame that its come to memes.
2012-11-28 [Triola]: Clearly you don't get what this wiki page is. This is a personal wiki that I made because I was bored and because I think memes are funny. It's not an official Elftown page, and thus not an Elftown gimmick, nor something you can judge the entire community by. It's not meant to be a serious page, it was made for myself and other people with a similar sense of humour. If it is not to your taste, then stop watching it. Perhaps you would rather move over to Art Wikis of Elftown, where you can more accurately judge whether Elftown's creativity has slipped or not.
2012-11-28 [Nekko fox]: That is also disregarding the fact that you are setting personal standard for a community website. What you want =/= what you get. Memes, by their very existence are about creativity and growth with the simple act of using them as a base for creating OC. Having a grand standard doesn't mean much when there is nothing new on the internet. Doesn't that come of as somewhat pretentious, saying that something is "gimmicky" and that the site is too good for them? Your standards are not the same as your neighbors.
2012-11-28 [Teufelsweib]: or to put it even more simple: I like memes. I like ET. I like combining things I like. just because the origin and frequent in other places, why can't they be here as well, even if just as a joke on a single page?
this site isn't just about art and looking at art, it's to bring people together with similar interest, mainly but definitely not only, fantasy, sci-fi and other creative businesses. if someone wants to make a fanpage about their favorite band, and talk on that wiki about it, you could also say that doesn't belong here. but screw that, if people want to let 'em.
2012-11-28 [Nekko fox]: Yeah, that does put it more simply.
2012-11-28 [Sideways]: I think not so Silent Voice requires more intellectually engaging content! Well, my strength is in writing, so use your intellect to imagine this!
A fuzzy cat with plush fur the shade of autumn leaves
Leaps upon a desk, a surface strewn about of glinting plastic and tin
She twitches her nose, not at the smell of dried soda and stale cheetos
But at the image within the square portal
Of a hideoes, monochrome face, gleefully peering without
"Yes, I am mad!" scoffs the fuzzy cat, adding a hiss, "At your grammar and your base humor! There is no art in your face! No philosophy in your grin! No substance to your statement! And I am NOT your brother!"
As this fuzzy cat is most dextrous, she manages to polish her horn-rimmed glasses with one hand, while dutifully typing out an admonishing paragraph to this caricature. Once finished, she searches Amazon for reasonably priced snow caps and Coldplay Mp3s.
Do you enjoy my short story?? :D
2012-11-30 [Artsy]: Street art started as vandalism... It's the intention that matters most. Memes make me giggle, especially some of these. It's very 'it's funny because it's true!' Thanks for the smiles everyone. =)
2012-11-30 [Aradon Templar]: In other news, I'm pretty sure there were really low-brow wikis back when you were on ET regularly, too. You just didn't know about them. Knowing about this one doesn't alter the validity of the rest of Elftown. All the wikis are still there, in fact.
2012-11-30 [Sideways]: I am personally aware of some freakin' atrocious fan pages that are at least five years old. If I were to link them, and you were to view them, your eyes would melt out of your mofreakin' face.
2012-11-30 [Nekko fox]: Oh god, Sideways, please don't bring those up...the anime roleplay fanpages still give me nightmares....
2012-12-03 [Teufelsweib]: those days when there wasn't a restricted amount of images you were allowed to put in your description, and you added the banner of every fanwiki or junkwiki you were member of... my indexfinger never really recovered from all the scrolling through endless memberpages from then!
2012-12-03 [iippo]: Those were the days when my mouse didn't even have a scrolling wheel!
2012-12-03 [Nekko fox]: Back in the ages of barbarism...
2012-12-03 [Viking]: Barbarism? Is that the belief that the universe is controlled by Barbers. Or that the supreme deity is named Barbara?
2012-12-03 [Teufelsweib]: or Barbus barbus.
2012-12-04 [Avaz]: Stop using words that don't exist, like barbus barbus. Or teufelsweib.
2012-12-04 [Teufelsweib]: says a guy called Avaz
2012-12-04 [Avaz]: Funny you should mention that. Check it, yo:
Hit the Listen button on the left side. You will hear Avaz.
You can also hit the Read Phonetically button and get the same thing, in text.
2012-12-05 [Avaz]: My apologies, I stand corrected. ^^;
*sits down instead*
2012-12-05 [iippo]: I knew this (that both are a word in foreign) and enjoyed this little exchange muchly. :3
2012-12-05 [Nekko fox]: Pity it made baby Jesus cry.
2012-12-05 [Viking]: He's a baby. Everything makes him cry.
2012-12-05 [Avaz]: Always happy to provide the lulz, such as they are. :P
2012-12-05 [Nekko fox]: they assume it's his birthday, but should we really be celebrating the birthday of a fictitious character? I don't know, besides its mostly a consumer holiday now anyway.
2012-12-05 [iippo]: Ehm, you don't have to celebrate it if you don't believe in it, just like you don't have to celebrate hanukkah or holi or eid or anything else either? Why are you so flippant about it like that? o.O;
2012-12-05 [Sideways]: Because you're feeding the trolls, foo!
*Mr T leaps in, then out again to do an infomercial for Cuisanart, and also to pity more mentally challenged people with smaller muscles and no mohawks*
2012-12-05 [Avaz]: That's pretty much it.
2012-12-05 [iippo]: Trolls need food too.
2012-12-06 [Hedda]: No, trolls need sun...
2012-12-06 [Viking]: =D
2012-12-06 [Teufelsweib]: non-christians started celebrating christmas, turned it into a consumer holiday, now are complaining it is a consumer holiday...
ok, maybe they're not entirely to blame for making it a consumer holiday, but they are the ones who have it entirely based on that.
though I don't see what's bad in that. I like giving presents, I like getting presents even more, I like buying stuff. it's good for the economy, we could use more holidays like that.
not feeding the troll btw. obvious troll is obvious. but just imho on 'consumer' holidays
2012-12-06 [Nekko fox]: Hey, Consumer holidays keep our economy going. baby Jesus or not.
2012-12-06 [Triola]: Also *butts in* on the whole "should we really be celebrating the birthday of a fictitious character" thing. We're not, in fact. We're celebrating the birth of a person recorded in history as having actually existed. So if you're going to question Christmas, a more relevant question would perhaps be "should we really be celebrating the birth of a guy who lived 2000 years ago?" Just sayin' :P
2012-12-06 [Viking]: Well, actually, there are only two historical mentions of Jesus, one by Josephus and one by Tacitus, and they're both apocryphal.
2012-12-06 [SilverFire]: The section of Tacitus in question is no more apocryphal than many other ancient sources.
2012-12-06 [Mortified Penguin]: And, assuming there was an actual person who fit the general historical description of Jesus, the character of him promoted in the bible could be considered fictitious. As fiction is something not based on fact, the wildly misrepresented person of Jesus could be considered a pretense that does not represent actuality by non-Christians and people of rational thought and mind, making the bible a work of fiction and Jesus a fictional character. Not to mention, Jesus wouldn't have been his real name anyway, it would have been Yeshua.
So, let's say I write a book. My main character is based off of [Viking] and has basically his same back story, but his name is Vikoenigsegg in my book and he has mystical powers. He goes on adventures that [Viking] doesn't go on and rebels against the government until his execution by Lord Stig of Topgeria. Does that mean Vikoenigsegg is a non-fictional character? I can back up claims that there's a person with a similar name and similar life and back story. But the character created in my book isn't real, because that's not an accurate description of [Viking]'s life. If [Viking] even exists at all, that is.
2012-12-07 [Nekko fox]: Man, I love stories like that, and I love the apocrypha. Especially the Gospel of Pseudo-Matthew
And, lo, suddenly there came forth from the cave many dragons; and when the children saw them, they cried out in great terror. Then Jesus went down from the bosom of His mother, and stood on His feet before the dragons; and they adored Jesus, and thereafter retired.
Of course, Jesus, according to the apocrypha, was kind of an asshole as a kid. Like when a boy splashed the puddle Jesus was playing in, so Jesus made the boy wither up and die (Infancy Gospel of Thomas 3:2-3), or when a boy bumped into Jesus when walking by so Jesus made him just fall down and die (Infancy Gospel of Thomas 4:1), or the time Jesus struck a kid blind for tattling (Infancy Gospel of Thomas 5:1).
But it was pretty awesome when a snake bit a boy, and Jesus commanded the snake to come back, suck the venom out of the boy, and then he blew it up (First Gospel of Infancy 18:13-16).
Imagine that, Jesus Christ: Snake Exploder.
But, of course, The 27 books in modern Christian Bibles weren't declared official until over 300 years after Jesus allegedly walked the earth, and of course they decided to omit the COOL stories.
2012-12-07 [Nekko fox]: Mort already does, he uses the pen name Sven Der olgergriften.
2012-12-07 [hanhepi]: I just laughed so hard I spilled my coffee. Between the story about [Viking] that Mort really, really needs to write, and "Jesus Christ: Snake Exploder" I've got a bad case of the giggles.
2012-12-10 [Teufelsweib]: celebrating a guy who did a lot of nice stuff and said a lot of good shit, and then taking his example. I mean, it shouldn't even be an issue whether he really existed, actually did those things, or not.
2012-12-10 [Viking]: *agrees*
2012-12-10 [Nekko fox]: Yeah, I'm a follower of Spider-man and Samurai Cat. Good morals, good speeches, good entities that I follow the example of. What about you Mort, who do you celebrate and take after?
2012-12-11 [Mortified Penguin]: I've always been a fan of potatoes.
2012-12-11 [Nekko fox]: Rich, hard-working, patriotic potatoes.
2012-12-11 [Mortified Penguin]: That's where I get all my morals.
2012-12-11 [Nekko fox]: And your delicious texture.
2012-12-11 [Mortified Penguin]: *Morsels, sorry.
I always get the two confused.
2012-12-12 [Nekko fox]: I blame the Christian Scientists for your confusion Mort.
2012-12-12 [Viking]: I think it was when the troll tried to eat the billygoats.
2012-12-12 [Teufelsweib]: *looks up from her newspaper* what are you two doing out here? get back in the kitchen!
*punches some Mexican kids*
*makes a rude comment about Misty*
2012-12-12 [Nekko fox]: *eats ramen*
2012-12-12 [Avaz]: *something about Paco*
2012-12-12 [Mortified Penguin]: *looks up from a nonspecific item*
Deliveries go around back.
2012-12-12 [Nekko fox]: * the non specific item looks disgruntled and put out for being so easily ignored*
2013-02-03 [Susie-Q]: *places another non-specific item of a non-specific gender next to the first so it won't be lonely*
2013-02-04 [Sideways]: *The Code-Violation

*machine gun blasts page with supersonic rounds made of mail*
2013-02-04 [Susie-Q]: *insert clever my little pony, lord of the rings, or obscure polish cartoon meme here*
2013-02-04 [Susie-Q]: Tax deductions will be given for avoiding use of the aforementioned memes. Warrants will be issues for use of drunken baby memes
"Woman, not only will I box your face in, I'll bite your finger off so hard you'll wish I was Tyson!"
2013-02-04 [Susie-Q]: Dear gods that image is terrifying. D:
"What's terrifying? Oh! Hey Manny, what's up? Yeah... I'm afraid of Mayweather too. So! Who ordered the Calamari?"
2013-02-04 [Susie-Q]: Cthulu images? Please the destroyer of this world is what fills my drunken dreams with hope, the dead wolf fills my wardrobe with coats. What's really scary is the cinematography of the movie butterfly and sword, not to mention the God awful dubbing
2013-02-04 [Teufelsweib]: for when you want your coat to have more class
2013-02-04 [Teufelsweib]: for when you need a bigger coat to cover your fat ass
Sorry, Cthulu, can't talk. I'm tryin to ween my title back. Theenk I'm in the wrong arena, though... :(
2013-02-16 [glimmergirl]: What's with killing all the animals, I bet you would'nt go into wolves of the leopard's territory without a gun. I double big dog dare ya!
2013-02-17 [Susie-Q]: I would wolf the leopards with a big dog even if I risked getting one of my many giraffe coats covered in pony blood.
2013-02-17 [Triola]: All these pictures in the comment section are really annoying me <.< resize is your friend, people!
2013-02-17 [Sideways]: Images in the comments of a wiki about images??¿? Inconceivable!
2013-02-17 [Lord Josmar]: It's not that there are images in the comments that is annoying [Triola] it is their large size. What may appear to be a small image on your screen can be a very large images on someone else's. Using the resize tag to reduce the size off your images to a set one makes it easier on others.
2013-02-17 [Lord Josmar]:
2013-02-17 [Sideways]: Firefox is for the weak. Especially for those too weak to press the "(Last 200)" link below. Also, those too weak to scroll down. Those are the ones who most deserve our pity.
2013-02-18 [Triola]: What in the world does Firefox have to do with anything? o.O
2013-02-18 [Susie-Q]: It's a bitch of a yugioh card that is resummoned if it is destroyed in combat. Left in defense mode, it's a pain in the ads to get around to get to your opponents life points. Oh....hold on.....wait...
2013-02-18 [Teufelsweib]: oh wow you really are sucking up the mood like a tank on the camping but I'm just 'flapping' my cheek because I can't fit a banana in there but there's really nothing you can say about that
2013-02-18 [Teufelsweib]: like a moodsponge
2013-02-18 [Susie-Q]: Im sorry, did you just say you want a cock in your mouth?
2013-02-19 [Teufelsweib]: sorry, can't hear you over your mom screaming while I'm fucking her in the ass
2013-02-19 [Avaz]: Well, that turned ugly quick. o_o;
2013-02-19 [Triola]: What, no high five for Vorkje for getting some mother action? :P
2013-02-19 [Avaz]: Only if it was a difficult achievement.
2013-02-19 [Triola]: Really? You only give out sex high fives if they are difficult achievements? That's a bit stingy.
2013-02-19 [Teufelsweib]: wait a sec, I gotta wash my hands before I deal out high fives...
2013-02-19 [Teufelsweib]: because that was some dirty action! ;D *high fives all around*
2013-02-19 [Avaz]: Well, some mothers are really very easy*. (Frex: "Nice shoes, wanna fuck?") So it's not really high-five-wort
*So much so that there is a whole porn genre of it - MILF.
2013-02-19 [Avaz]: However, that said... *HIGH FIVE TEUF* ^_^
2013-02-19 [Triola]: But it's sex, isn't it pretty much high five worthy no matter what? o.O I mean, you're the smut god, and someone is getting laid. I feel like if you're not high fiving, you're not really doing your job here!
2013-02-19 [Avaz]: Okay, you have a point. Yes. Someone is getting laid and that is high five worthy.
*high five* :)
2013-02-19 [Teufelsweib]: whoop whoop whoop :>
"doesn't matter, had sex"-mentality
2013-02-19 [Avaz]: I had the "doesn't matter, had sex" mentality not too long ago.
2013-02-19 [Teufelsweib]: liiiike 30 minutes ago?
2013-02-19 [Avaz]: Well, not that recent. 15 hours, roughly.
2013-02-19 [Teufelsweib]: *high fives anyway* 8D
2013-02-19 [Avaz]: *high five* ^_^
2013-02-22 [Nekko fox]:
2013-02-22 [Triola]: Still with the really huge pictures <.< *hinthint resize hinthint cough*
2013-02-22 [Sideways]: Schtop whining
2013-02-22 [Triola]: No, thank you :)
2013-02-22 [Avaz]: It's not whining when it's a suggestion.
2013-02-22 [Sideways]: It's not suggesting when it's pissing and quite possibly also moaning. Speaking of things that make me climax, Nekko! More funny pictures! Large as you please :D
2013-02-22 [Triola]: Y'know, being the ower of this page, if the size of the images annoys me too much, I'll just delete them :P
2013-02-22 [Sideways]: That is your noble right. However, as a rebellious troll, I'll have to take that as a challenge o-o
2013-02-22 [Avaz]: ATP, you misspoke. The correct phrasing is, "Challenge accepted!" Make that mistake again at your very own peril.
2013-02-22 [Triola]: (It's a proper peril too, Avaz will most likely buttsecks you)
2013-02-22 [Sideways]: Challenge?¿? Lies and slander!
2013-02-22 [Avaz]: This is true. And you won't even see it coming until it's too late.
2013-02-22 [Sideways]: Nekko is on my side. And he is the 2004 undisputed World Butsex Champion!
2013-02-22 [Triola]: Ohhh, I see a buttsecks wrestling match on the horizon.
2013-02-22 [Avaz]: It's a 2 on 1 then? :( I tag team with Mort, then.
2013-02-24 [Mortified Penguin]: Woo! I'm drunk!
omg lolololol posting large pics on a wiki even though someone asked me not to is ULTIMATE TROLLING
2013-02-24 [Nekko fox]: Or maybe, just maybe, and stay with me on this, maybe it's just a bit of fun that doesn't hurt anyone and not everything is trolling.
HOLY SHIT, mind blown!
Chill dude, it's a wiki page, no one cares, and after another ten or twenty comments, the picture would disappear anyway. Why ya gotta be so serious?
2013-02-24 [Triola]: Actually, apparently someone does care. And resizing a picture doesn't take much time, so why not just do it? No one cares if you post pictures, it's just really annoying when you post huge pictures. Just resize them and everyone will be happy! :)
2013-02-24 [Susie-Q]: 1
2013-02-24 [Susie-Q]: 2
2013-02-24 [Susie-Q]: 3
2013-02-24 [Susie-Q]: 4
2013-02-24 [Susie-Q]: Ah forget it, it's no fun sober
2013-02-24 [Mortified Penguin]: But why is it annoying?
2013-02-25 [Nekko fox]: Exactly. Is it because people are too lazy to scroll an extra few inches? That seems fairly shallow to me.
2013-02-25 [Mortified Penguin]: There actually are buttons on most keyboards that will instantly send you to the bottom of the page, if you're too lazy for scrolling. Actually, there's a wide variety of different ways to reach the bottom. I personally like to smash my testicles as hard as I can against my keyboard until they become swollen and severely damaged. Afterward, I'll simply drag the scroll bar down to the bottom and be off to the hospital, once I'm finished ordering cat toys off Amazon, of course.
2013-02-25 [Nekko fox]: Mortified Penguin, the master of revolutionary thinking!
2013-02-25 [Susie-Q]: Right I have beer now. 5
2013-02-25 [Susie-Q]: 6
2013-02-25 [Susie-Q]: 7. Which is worse
2013-02-25 [Susie-Q]: 9 . Or large images
2013-02-25 [Susie-Q]: 10. Halfway there.... .
2013-02-26 [Nekko fox]: See? That image is huge, but it's not annoying. It's just more visual fun.
2013-02-26 [Avaz]: It still would have been better with a smaller image. Same impact, less space.
2013-02-26 [Susie-Q]: I agree with nekko on this one. It's just a wiki page. if one lacks the patience to scroll down they should avoid the page, or get over it because it just a wiki page.
2013-02-26 [Triola]: Honestly, since it's my wiki page, I don't much care whether you agree or not :P
2013-02-26 [Avaz]: +1 Triola.
2013-02-26 [Nekko fox]: Duly noted your dictatorship.
2013-02-26 [Nekko fox]:
2013-02-26 [Triola]: Hmmm, your dictatorship, that does sound good. Maybe I should declare this wikipage its own country? Then rule it with a firm, yet sometimes not very often fair hand. And really small pictures.
2013-02-26 [Avaz]: What is that, Ceiling Cat's cousin? O_o
2013-02-26 [Nekko fox]: Yes it isn't. Also, you should think of a glorious name for your new regime and a fitting title for your proud nation.
2013-02-26 [Triola]: I can be Der Führer! No, wait, I think that one's taken... but my nation will be Lilliput! One, because it is a tiny state. Two, because we like tiny pictures. And three, because we like literary references :D
2013-02-27 [Nekko fox]: Cthulhu would agree.
