The pilgrims, the Turkey, the pumpkin pie,
what else is involved with Thanksgiving? You tell us!
You can tell us with art, poetry and photography
what you believe Thanksgiving is about!

Thanksgiving competition rules

A. Theme: The theme for this competition is thanksgiving.
It doesn't necessarily have to be the 'typical' thanksgiving,
we're open to the interpretations of the artist!

B. Amount: The amount of entries a contestant may submit is 2.

C. Proof photo: If you submit a photo entry, you have to submit a proof photo with it.
In this photo you must hold/see a knife or spoon.

D. Deadline: The deadline is set on 2009-11-15 for the art and poem contest
and 2009-12-02 for the photo contest.

E. Winners: There will be 2 winners picked for the art, photo and poem contest.

F. Judging: The winners will be selected by a public poll. Don't vote for yourself!

Thanksgiving at my place

Lots of fun and food to eat.
Some is nasty and some is a treat.
Everyone piled around a table.
Telling stories and tales and fables.
Stuffing their faces with corn and turkey.
Grandpa brought over some good deer jerky.
Sitting around watching football on T.V.
Your favorite team just kicked for three.
This is what thanksgiving is all about.
Where everyone yells and jumps and shouts.
Well maybe not exactly but close enough.
Running around like wild Indians trying to be tough.
This is what happens at my house on this day.
As for everyone else, I cannot say.

as far as getting the page more publicity, like Mort said, invite people (or get him to. he knows everyone.) and nehi writing a news item, and maybe get it on the calendar on the side of mainstreet.
