Winners of the St. Patrick's Art, Poetry and Description competition 2009:

Leprechaun's Gold

People searched far and wide,
Looking for something they can't find.
“At the end of the rainbow!” They would say,
But trudged unhappily home at the end of the day.
People grew untrustworthy and greedy,
Trying to find something that was ugly and beady.
Things grew violent, malicious and angry,
Children grew sick, faded and hungry.
Wanting their parents love and support,
But they turned their back, cross their arms and snort.
So the children ran away,
A place where its safe to play.
A place where the angry people can't find,
A place where they can run and hide.
A place far away from the Leprechaun's Gold,
A place far away from the sinister cold.
A place in their head,
every time they pray and go to bed.

2008-01-02 [Sunrose]: Wow that looks awesome! :D :D

Hmm I don't have that one and don't think I've heard of it before.. :)

2008-01-02 [nehirwen]: <img:stuff/sh-gif.gif> thank you

well, I have no idea where that font comes from xD
I just picked randomly fonts in photoshop, and liked this one ^^

2008-01-02 [Sunrose]: Photoshop has a lot of fonts, it's amazing :D
I made a few small adjustments (didn't want to harass you about every little thing..), I think it's ready for action! :D

2008-01-02 [nehirwen]: *hooray*

I noticed it indeed, I just wanted to ask which little things I should change to make it ready for action ;)
thank you for taking care of that! :)

2008-01-02 [Sunrose]: Hey, could you maybe make a tiny clover that I could add to the calendar-note? :D
Size of a mood-icon (max. 40 pixels wide and 25 pixels high)..

2008-01-02 [nehirwen]: I shall make it right away ^^

2008-01-02 [nehirwen]: <img:stuff/littleClover.gif> I just finished mine (which is transparent :)

2008-01-02 [Sunrose]: Awesome, I've added it to the note =D

2008-01-02 [nehirwen]: I see ^^ that's great, yay!

2008-01-03 [Linderel]: The participant badge is lacking an 'r'. <_<

2008-01-03 [nehirwen]: O.o *fixed*

2008-01-04 [nehirwen]: shall I also submit the dividers of this and thanksgiving festival to elftown graphics? maybe people like to use them that day or in general..

2008-01-04 [Sunrose]: Sounds like a good idea :D

2008-01-05 [Lin-tastic]: This looks awesome! O.O -is in awe-

(If you haven't noticed, I greatly dislike

2008-01-05 [Sunrose]: Astrics?

2008-01-05 [Linderel]: Asterisks, I believe.

2008-01-05 [nehirwen]: I had to google that word xD
and yes I noticed it. (before the wondering of the word, lol)
But thank you [Lin-tastic]! :)

2008-01-05 [Lin-tastic]: No, thank you. I used both this one and Thanksgiving Festival as bases for New Years Day Festival. ;D

2008-01-05 [Lin-tastic]: Oh, and thanks, Linderel, for correcting my spelling. I never was too sure on spelling the silly word...

2008-01-05 [Sunrose]: Ah now it makes sense lawl :p

Hmm btw we should add a photo-proof requirement here ([Lin-tastic] reminded me).
The general rules don't specify what kind of proof it needs to be. It can be a sock, spoon or whatever, maybe something related to the theme that most people have access to :)

2008-01-05 [nehirwen]: maybe a coin? (the biggest coin they have in the participants country, if it isn't to small?) - as in 'the gold at the end of the rainbow'..
