Welcome to the Song Comic contest. Many people find music inspirational, especially artists; and I'm no exception. I love the times when I'm walking to and fro Uni with my ipod. It's definitely the time I have most ideas and inspiration. So my idea is this: Every month, I shall pick one song and based on the music and/or lyrics of that song, I want you to produce one page of a comic. It can be a one frame page, or a ten fame page, my main point is that it should be inspired and based on the music I give you. I'll try and make my music selection quite varied, so there should be a track for everyone. There will be prizes. Tangible, real, prizes. Everyone loves prizes.

Rules & Information:

1. Your art only, obviously. Stolen entries will be removed, and you will be disqualified from all future contests.

2. Medium: pretty much anything goes - your comic could be made up of photos, fingerprint, smeared marshmellows on a page, as long as we can tell what's happening, it's cool.

3. Each contest will last one month, giving time in between to set up a poll, and get the voting sorted. Which means that it will probably work out as a new contest every other month.

4. If you don't have access to the song, drop me a note, and I'll do my best to send it to you, or find a way for you to hear it. But I'm pretty sure you'll be able to find all of them on YouTube.

5. What you're supposed to produce is one page of a comic, so your entry should be page shaped, obviously. And please don't try to fit a ludicrous amount of content on this one page. I'm sure you've all read or at least seen a comic of some sort, so you know the kind of thing you're aiming for.

6.You can use the lyrics of the song in the comic page, if you so wish. It's not obligatory, but if you want to, that's fine by me. :)

7.The comic obviously doesn't have to be a completely story with beginning middle and end. That would be a bit much to ask in one page. It's just a snippet of a story I want you to show, a single scene, or even just part of a scene.
