Now a little something for my...
1. Davey Havok. - This man has been an idol to me for the past two years of my life. He, along with the other members of the band AFI have been completely and absolutely inspirational to me. The lyrics to their songs have helped me through some of the hardest times in my life. I feel a great connection to the lyrics and the wonderful way that Davey's voice portrays the emotions in their songs. I love AFI, and I love this man. He's incredibly intelligent and someone I truly look up to. His lifestyle, the straight-edge lifestyle, is something that I have modeled myself after for about a year now. He is not only incredibly talented, but incredibly smart and a wonderful role model as well. For this reason, he is one of my idols.
2. Jack Terricloth. - He's just recently become one of my heroes, honestly. But I absolutely adore the music he and his band - World/Inferno Friendship Society - makes. They're quite amazing if I do say so myself. I've never heard anything quite like them... But that's aside from the point. The reason I view him as a hero is simple. He's amazing. No, I'm just kidding. There's more of a reason than that. I like his outlook on life. It's something that I feel quite passionately about. Mostly, his outlook on life, is that you should do whatever makes you happiest no matter who it upsets. He inspires me because of this idea, something that I've followed for a large part of my life. Do what makes you happiest. Screw whatever person looks down on you for doing what you love, screw whatever God will condemn you for following what's in your heart. Unless your a child rapist or something, I have no problem with you. Drinking and drugs, though I personally don't do that, is something that I feel if you want to do, just do it. Do whatever makes you happy. Just don't beat your wife when you come home drunk or kill your drug dealer when he won't give you a fix. So basically anything short of rape or homicide is fine with me! Haha... This makes me sound like a great person, huh? But anyway, I'm straying from the point! I don't know how many different ways I can say this, but I love this man for following that ideal. Fuck society, and live how you want. That's what I believe, and I'm glad that I have this man who makes this incredible music who feels the same. A quote from him that I found pretty much sums up why I look up to him so passionately...
Bust out man, no one's going to do it for you. get out there and make some bad decisions, foolish romantic choices, put yourself through some cruel and unusual punishment
3. Tooru Niimura a.k.a. Kyo Warumono. - I love this little asian man. He's probably one of the most amazingly twisted people in the world within the limits of homicide. This man and his band, Dir En Grey, introduced me to the world of J-Rock. (I honestly think Dir En Grey is everybody's first J-Rock band but I could be wrong.) Anyway, I adore him for his voice. It's just... It's a mindfuck is what it is. His vocal performance is absolutely astounding. And even though the music is mostly in Japanese, you can still hear the passion in his voice and in his screams. And what sexy screams that are. But I look up to him because of his outstanding vocal performances and because he's just fucking sinister. I love it. Kyo is a J-Rock god among men.
4. Serj Tankian. - This man is amazing. Most people only know him as the singer of System of a Down, but I look up to him for another reason. I look up to Serj because of his promotion of social justice. I can truly look up to someone who fights for the same beliefs that I have. Social equality is something I believe needs to become widespead and when I heard about his group the Axis of Justice, which promotes social equality for all, I immediately started to look up to him. I've never been one to go out and protest or anything like that, but I do admire people who start groups and have the courage to speak out against the powers that be and fight for what they believe in. I like the way Serj thinks, I think he's an amazing performer (both with System of a Down and with his solo project), and I would love to meet him someday.
I'm wiki crazy.
And also my art is pretty awesome. Sanzo-san's Artwork
