Okay here's something ive wanted to do for a while. So bare with me. Its a work in progress...

POEM OF THE WEEK

Painful and Worthless

Help me I’m running out of things that I can hold on too and grip,
Somewhere between my lonely thoughts and emptiness,
I need to figure out what it is to be given life really means,
To find out which way and direction it goes and leans.
Everything is leaving me, it’s disappearing with out even a trace
It's like i’m running but there is no beginning and end to this type of race.
I want to break down now but I cant I have too much pride,
Maybe too much and that’s the reason why I hurt inside.
I have so many and so much, but it all doesn’t count,
I could cry when I think how much my life amounts.
Worthless nothing, never, And Cheap,
All my problems aren’t minimal they're running skin deep.
I’m plunging further and deeper into the cold,
The shakes and shivers help or so I’ve been told.
I’m not going to try I don’t want to get my hopes raised
I don’t want to think for a second that I might be saved.
Because I know that no one cares,
They can’t take the time outside themselves to see that i’m hurting,
My world is coming apart it has stopped turning.
No one could look at me and see my soul is in torment it's bleeding.
If life is trying to torture me it's clearly succeeding.
I can see it now the way that I know I’ll die, in a corner all alone.
At least I’ll be able to take my life the one real thing that is mine that I own.
When I’m gone I know for a fact that I won’t be missed,
I could think of several reasons why in fact I could write a list.
But I won’t do that perhaps maybe this is all my fault,
I should have stuck up for myself instead becoming a victim of life's assault.
When I think back of my past and good old times,
It’s so sad and strange but there’s nothing happy I can find.
I grew up broken and as a result I am empty,
Nothing more can scar damage and hurt me.
It's all so much it’s like I’ve gone numb I can not feel,
This cant be the truth it all seems so surreal.
No one could be this depressed and still want to try,
But it's true, and sad that i’m living the lie.
Because as soon as I step onto that first step outside the door,
I put on a smile and I don’t let myself cry anymore.
