2006-07-06 [lady nytmare]: No portraitists I see :p
2006-07-06 [iippo]: We are waiting for all crew members to be drawn at least once before starting giving out the badges.
2006-07-13 [Jitter]: The monochrome badge is for p[eople with one - two entries right? *wander off* Don't mind me ^_^
2006-07-14 [iippo]: There is a whole phased set of them (just like the squirrel or ladybug badges and such) for different levels of commitment (so it won't be too easy to get the coloured one). We've got it more or less faffed out I think, although the system seems a bit complicated at this point :P
2006-07-26 [EmeraldGrizzly]: Exscue me, just wondering, when will the badges be decided for the CPGD conetst?
2006-07-29 [EmeraldGrizzly]: Thanks, tis' blind *walks into as tree* och...
2006-08-05 [kittygirl1017]: so how can we get the colored one? I have 2 entries. dose that mean i get one?
2006-08-29 [champion de' gulder]: so what if an entrant has more than one entry? does he get a clored badge?
2006-08-29 [iippo]: The number of entries and the time the image spends in the actual gallery both affect the colorisation of the badge.
2006-08-29 [Vampire Akis]: Let's say that I made a nice portrait of Jitter. Now what?
2006-08-29 [iippo]: Jitter - [Jitter] is not in Council :P
But, let's suppose you did make a portrait. You get a green badge for participating. If the image you drew stays in the actual gallery (Council Portrait Gallery), your badge will keep updating on time intervals. But if your image gets challenged by another artist and is replaced in the gallery, you'll keep the badge you got, unless you either make more entries, or make another entry that stays in the gallery for a long time.
2006-08-29 [Vampire Akis]: who can I draw to get a nice green badge?
2006-08-29 [Vampire Akis]: thank you.
2006-08-29 [iippo]: Oops. I thought it looked weird x_X Thanks Sunrose.
2006-09-04 [Vampire Akis]: where's my name? :S
2006-09-04 [iippo]: Sorry, forgot to update this page X_x
There we go.
2006-09-04 [Vampire Akis]: Thank you.
2006-12-27 [Vampire Akis]: Question; who will sign my guestbook for this? *wink wink*
2006-12-28 [EmeraldGrizzly]: For what?
2006-12-28 [Vampire Akis]: Oh oh oh... sorry... Question: That's the 2nd portrait I made. Do I get another badge for this? *thinks I keep the same one until making a 6th portrait*
2006-12-29 [Vampire Akis]: It's not. Just wondering.
2006-12-30 [Vampire Akis]: alright. No problem then. Of course I can wait.
2007-01-29 [Lothuriel]: I hope no one minds that I fixed that. *points up* There was a K between two L's.
2007-01-29 [iippo]: Thanks Loth, it's the name-change thing, keeps mucking up all the lists. >_>
2007-01-29 [Lothuriel]: Ah, yes. I didn't think about that.
2008-11-28 [FamousPanda]: so can someone tell me how you get the colored version of the badge?
2008-11-29 [iippo]: There's two routes: One, if your portrait stays in the Council Portrait Gallery for 8 months, you get full colour (the idea being that the longer it stays in the gallery, the better the entry, because the point is that other artists will "challenge" the image in the gallery by drawing the same council member, and if the counciller likes the new drawing more, it'll replace the other one in the gallery). So it's cumulative, the longer the image stays in the gallery, the more colour your badge gets until it reaches full colour. Two, if you submit 12 or more drawings of councillers, you get full colour. We reward humongous amounts of work as well as humongous quality. This again is also cumulative, so the more portraits you submit, the more colour your badge gets until you reach full colour. Hope that helped a little. :3
2008-11-29 [FamousPanda]: ohh.. yes that helped alot. but if your portrait gets replaced do you still keep your badge?
2008-11-29 [SilverFire]: Yes, if your portrait is replaced, you get to keep the stage of your badge that it was at. :3
2008-11-29 [FamousPanda]: yay alright thank you
2009-08-26 [FamousPanda]: I don't know if my badge should be updated but I am thinking so. Oh and should my name be on this page?
2009-08-26 [iippo]: Hmm, let me have a look...
2009-08-26 [iippo]: Your name is on here, it's just not in alphabetical order since you changed your name since I added you to the list. And your badge only updates if you a) make lots of entries or b) have an entry in the Council Portrait Gallery for a long time.
2009-08-27 [FamousPanda]: I thought after so long it gets updated? Because it got updated once.
2009-08-27 [iippo]: Yes but only if your entry is 'winning' (i.e. the council-member you drew selected to keep your entry in the gallery). So in the CPG your badge improves if you either work hard (make a lot of entries) or draw really well and make an entry that the subject really likes (because the councilmembers themselves get to decide what portrait they prefer to use in the gallery).
2009-08-27 [iippo]: Ah I figured it out now. The reason your badge updated the first time was because your entry was in the gallery. But then at some point someone else drew the same counciller, and she preferred the new entry and put that in the gallery instead. So that's why your badge won't automagically update further at this point.
2009-10-26 [arthemis_]: Thank you very much for badging me! And look at that, I'm on top too *mwahahhahahah
2009-10-26 [SilverFire]: XD Actually you shouldn't be on top - for some reason I thought the underscore was at the start of your name, not the end. Ironically, I wouldn't even have noticed unless you'd pointed it out. :P *fixes* Thanks for pointing it out. :P
2009-10-26 [arthemis_]: Lol, that just sucks :P hihi
2009-10-26 [SilverFire]: You're still pretty close to the top. :P
2009-10-26 [arthemis_]: That's what you get naming yourself Arthemis_ :P
2009-10-28 [arthemis_]: lolz, come one folks :P no putting me down! ;)
2011-01-04 [Nioniel]: moved myself to the proper place, alphabetically
2011-01-04 [SilverFire]: If you do do that, you could do a quick check for other out-of-place users, too. ;)
2011-01-05 [Nioniel]: Sorry. :(
2011-05-17 [SilverFire]: The badgings on the page are... wrong, though. O_o (some of them, at least)
2011-05-17 [Nehirwen]: They are? I used the work page to put them in order, I've picked a few to see if they were correct, which they were, so I assumed they'd probably all were. I'll go check them all now. x_X
2011-05-18 [Lothuriel]: WTF? There is nothing on the page now and it reads, "Edit page
There is no previous version of this page to make a diff with!" What happened?
I put everything back. I hope that was ok.
2011-05-18 [SilverFire]: I happened. ._. I accidentally hit the 'delete wiki; button. ;_; But what does the page look like for you? I can still see the last page version? Is it completely empty for you? I didn't realise it looked different for other members. D: I'll see what I can do.
Or did you alrea-Ah, yes, you did. X)
2011-05-18 [Lothuriel]: XD, yep i already fixed it back. It was completely blank with a line of red text that said, "Edit page
There is no previous version of this page to make a diff with"
Freaked me out because I thought someone was fracking around again, hehe.
2011-05-18 [SilverFire]: I will have to remember that for next time I cock-up like that. X)
2011-08-15 [Stephen]: The "Delete Wiki" button really needs a little confirmation message that pops up. It's too close to the " - " button. =(
I've accidentally hit it a few times instead of previous version.
2011-08-15 [SilverFire]: It's nowhere near the '-' button. Though I agree, and have already suggested, that it needs a confirmation.
2011-08-15 [Stephen]: o.o'
It's not? Hm. Elftown must have a different layout than Elf12 and Elfpack. It's right next to the " - " button on those.
Or, it's underneath the thing that says "Friendly:" Oookay, that's weird. My placement memory sucks it seems.
Anyway, I hope Hedda does implement that. x)
