Two British sci-fi nerds make a trip to the US for Comic Con before going on a road trip to visit all the famous alien/UFO areas. Along the way they end up picking up a person in need, and when I say person, I mean alien. This alien's name is Paul and he has been held at Area 51 for the past 60 years and has decided it is time for him to go home, but the government wants to cut him open to find out the last of his little secrets.
This is a really great movie starring Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Seth Rogan (Voice), Jason Bateman, and Kristin Wiig. With smaller roles and appearances by Jeffrey Tambor, Jane Lynch, David Koechner, Sigourney Weaver, Bill Hader, Joe Lo Truglio, John Carroll Lynch, and Blythe Danner. All the actors bring something great to the film and really make for a great movie. It is full of great comedic moments and even a few serious spots to spice things up, along with a semi-twist at the end. I was really worried that Seth Rogan (Voice of Paul) would bring the movie down based on his performance in Kung-fu Panda, but he did a really good job.
The only reason I didn't give this a full Epic! rating was that a large portion of the ending was very predictable due to the hint they drop earlier on and reminded me of most Disney movie endings. Other then that I highly recommend this film to Simon Pegg and Nick Frost fans, and to anyone who enjoys a good comedy involving aliens.
