Deep into the forest,
Down past the trees,
Is the fairy jubilation.
No longer captives,
Free little nymphs,
Dance in celebration.
Deep into the forest,
Down past the trees,
Past the fairy jubilation.
Still remain captives,
Three little nymphs,
Long to be part of the celebration.
Adella, the youngest,
With ankles chained,
Cries out in fear,
“Save me!” she cries,
“Let me go free!”
Her captor hears her cry.
A snap of her neck,
A short pixie scream,
Adella lives on no longer.
Deep into the forest,
Down past the trees,
Past the fairy jubilation.
Still remain captives,
Two little nymphs,
Long to be part of the celebration.
Erek, the eldest,
Bound and gagged,
Struggles to be set free.
He kicks and he moans,
“Let me go free!”
His captor hears his cry.
A slash of his wrist,
A short bloody scream,
Erek lives on no longer.
Deep into the forest,
Down past the trees,
Past the fairy jubilation.
Still remains captive,
One little nymph,
Longs to be part of the celebration.
Ty, the forgotten,
With clippen wings,
Wishes to not be alone.
She weeps in her sorrow,
“Let me go free!”
No one hears her cry.
Fairy suicide,
A knife to her heart,
A short pixie wail,
Ty lives on no longer.
Deep in the forest,
Down past the trees,
Past the fairy jubilation.
None remain captive,
Three little nymphs,
All massacred,
Never to be part of the celebration.
Gypsy woman, what is to become of me
Look into your crystal ball and tell me what you see
Do you see happiness or misery and despair
Look into your crystal ball and say what you see there
Am I to have a wife and children running 'round
Or am I to die an early death and have nothing but the ground
Please, Gypsy Woman, tell me what you know
Is it warmed by the sun or trapped in drifting snow
Why do you scream, what does it concern
But the Gyspy Woman died and now I'll never learn.
Down beneath the earth and clay
Lies a place where demons play
But even they have a hell
That's far more worse than where they dwell
Old grey bones begin your quest
Lay the Demon back to rest
Please Allknower beat the beast
Or on our souls he shall feast
Twin thinkers think as one
Before the Demon's work is done
Hurry stop the Demon's rise
In the race to mans' demise
Evil horror evil born
Comes now through what he has torn
Death rules in Demon's rise
In the race to mans' demise

2004-03-07 [valeshadow]: The Race is just a little something I was using as part of a story that I was writing. Each stanza was the start of a chapter. Still have that much of the poem, but haven't a clue as to where the story has gone

2004-03-13 [almotheia]: hallo, I am a travelling bard and I need bad poetry too put to musik, or bad songs to sing. My trade is the badly done poems and songs so people can hafe their laughs. If anyone has heard any bad poems can you please let me know?
2004-03-14 [valeshadow]: Just how bad of a poem are you looking for? Not that every poet would be willing to boast about the bad poems that they have written, but I'm sure that in my stacks of ramblings there is a poem or ten that could be considered down right awful
2004-07-15 [Ghost Walker]: I was just wandering if this is a free page. Meaning that anyone may add poetry of travlers.
2004-09-12 [OvertheMoooon]: Of course.
2006-05-30 [Linderel]: Hey, you've been included on the Poetry communities listing. Just to let you know. :)
2006-07-03 [Linderel]: Hear, hear! Springing forth with a challenge, the admins at Solemn Lines have decided to bring all poetry communities of Elftown together in a tournament of skill. During July, members of each community that answers our call will choose a representative among themselves - the procedure for that will be up to you, but make sure that come August, you're all ready to roll and cheer your champion on. Get ready, ladies and gentlemen, for the World Cup of Poetry, hosted by Solemn Lines!
