Just a few of my drawings from different periods. I will add more and explain better too

<img:stuff/piirros5.jpg>
The first drawing I ever scanned. Brewster Buffalo drawn with a pencil and toned in paintshop pro. This was in 1997. As the internet was hardly worth mentioning then, I used a scale model as a reference.

<img:stuff/scheisse.jpg>
I decided to draw something in blue, because I was out of orange, yellow and red crayons.. I used my girlfriend as reference and had read too much much Lovecraft. I kind of like the lightness of it, but the window didn't turn out too nicely.

<img:stuff/stfu.jpg>
A drawing from my school note book, 2002. I still find it rather cute on some level. I used two ball point pens, black and red. As I used a notebook, I had to add contrast in photoshop to diminish the lines on the paper.

<img:stuff/sotamies.jpg>
One of the first photoshop images I ever drew. It was somewhere in the summer of 2003 and the level of detail is horribly low. The sky and the pants especially... :,)

<img:stuff/cheesyplastic.jpg>
I was apparently fascinated by green. Too bad I wasn't such as master at using it. I pretty much like the concept and composition in this one, but I clearly didn't have the skill and the patience to make any kind of decent textures. The pose was also rather difficult to visualize in my head, a rather challenging one considering that a while later I gave up on drawing humans. Note that somewhere around here I also developed a fetish for framing my paintings, a bad habit that I was able to kick later.

<img:stuff/tapaus.jpg>
This one shows more attempt and is probably one of the last images where I even tried to draw a human figure for a long time. I can see this was still a time when I didn't want to use black in the shadows. Luckily I gave up such nonsense.

<img:stuff/evac.jpg>
An example of my earlier drawings with Photoshop 5.0 and a wacom graphire tablet. I seemed to have a pathological interest in bright colors back then.

<img:stuff/cfh.jpg>
A bit later than the previous, still the same gear, but a tiny bit less bright. I wasn't fully happy with the mech's legs and the rock on the left gave me tremendous amounts of trouble, but taught me a lot of patience.

<img:stuff/tappara.jpg>
A black and white painting for a hockey lunatic friend of mine. Just a silly little request without too much artistic thought behind it.

<img:stuff/jyrsinlores.jpg>
One of the latest. Photoshop 6.0 and the same old beaten graphire. Quite muddled colors and I didn't stop to check the perspective once. It also looks disturbing in 40x30 print... anyone want one?

<img:stuff/romutarha_3.jpg>
The initial sketch and the two versions with many years in between. It's interesting to see how the styles and techniques evolve... I am also more loyal to the sketch in the latter version, but have adopted several key features from the older version. Notice that there are no pigs. ;-)

<img:stuff/romutarha_revisited_lores.jpg>
And finished it. There are several things that I am not pleased with, but I wanted to finish it anyway. :-P The CS2 and Volito2 were a real burden.

<img:stuff/radialpilot_versions.jpg>
At 7200 pixels high, it's gonna be a lot of detailing, but
I am making some progress, and I am also getting used to
CS2 and Volito 2. All the constructive criticism is welcome, but try to point where the problem is rather than saying:
"Hi, the colors suck and the perspective is wrong, byeee!"

<img:stuff/radialpilot.jpg>
And finished, a lot of details that I don't like, but can't push myself to finish. Signed and ready to move on with other projects.

Working on a self-portrait now. Not overly excited, but we'll see how it turns out.

2007-04-20 [maketsu]: Ok, I will try to add more and perhaps explain my older poo to the extent of masochism. I hope you find it amusing. :-)

2007-04-20 [Kii'ia]: Mitä ihmeen kakkaa? Eräät täällä voi vaan toivoo joskus piirtävänsä taustoja yhtä hyvin kuin Make-setä. :P

2007-07-16 [Radioactive Flea]: Looks like you're flavor injecting the piggy. . . mmmmmm.

2007-07-17 [maketsu]: It's not an injector, but a CNC-controlled milling machine to cut the pig in parts in an unnecessarily cruel and painful manner. I know, it's twisted. :-/

2007-08-24 [Iske]: cool

2007-09-23 [Pantheranegra]: your draws are great,your always saying that you haven't skill's for that,well i have a different opinion i guess u draw very well,which i draw like that

2007-12-05 [~Nyx~]: I don't get what you said about your early photoshop skills. I think they look great.
