Madrumah ~ Geography Of The World

( all self invented ideas, names and concepts © by Oliver Möller, 2005 )

Araatia ~
Climate: cool and rather dry, in the south long, warm summers and frosty winters, in the north cold and rich of snow

Vegetation / shape of landscape: Wood-tundra, coniferous forest and mountains, in the inner of the land around Aurìmma and in the south also meadow and arable land

Characteristics: Wood of Aurimm ( Coniferous forest )
Wood of Ipaanua and Wood of Sheryllis – red golden blooming mixed forests / forests of Naerauglim

In the cities Ar-Tuan and Aurìmma the most northern conurbation of human / terromagian settlers are also located – The famous beacons along the fiord of Cirwillin direct ships around the straits inbetween the claw-shaped island before the northern coast of Terromage, and show them their way to Oslabad

Native population: rare, almost extinct dynasty of the Gone Old Kings / the ‚Noble One’s‘ ( High Men ) and above all common humans and half-fair’s in the majority
In the wilderness: Elf- and Feyfolk

Fauna / animals: In the north generally rein-deers and wolves and nordic fauna
In the south also bears, big predator animals, puma‘s, lynxes and birds of prey, small animals etc.
( partly comparable with Sweden / South Finland )

Olgorion ( Gold-Leaf-Wood ) ~ 
( comparable to Canada )

Climate: short springtime, short, mild summer, long, mild but cool autumn ( with long, golden ‚Elvensummer‘ )
Long, frosty winter, in the north alos much of snow
Completely wooded ( Gold-Leaf-Wood ) and extensively undeveloped and without civilisation

High amount of active magic

Characteristics: Gnorrl-Tuan, the Great Legendary Gnarled Root Tower
In the north along the border to the ‚ungood equator‘ or in the border areas to Terromage
Darkened and populated by creatures of the darkness

Native population: Great population of wight-, goblin-, fairy- and elven species ( and Trelldis! )

Bannelon ~
( Comparable to Scotland / Britain )

Climate: humid and cool in the north, rainy and mild in the south

Vegetation / Shape of landscape: Mountains of Vrias Daelon, Forest of Lagladaar ( deciduous woodland and mixed woods )
Highlands and moores

Characteristics: Tolje and the wood of Tolje ( Wood-Fortress of the trappers, hunters, pelt merchants and rogues )
Inland lake of Ylvaa
In Ban-Dwargo the underground city of the Poddles is to be found

Native population: Old fairy- and wight and goblin-tribes / gnomes, spirits and kobold‘s, and numerous also with roaming around destructive giants and ogres as well as with Koshrog ( evil Hump-Giants )

Fauna / Animals: The kingdom of animals here is partly comparable with central europe
Mainly undeveloped and without civilisation

Oslivan ~
( Comparable to Finland / Denmark )

Climate: cool and humid, with partly long, severe winters
Vegetation / shape of landscape: boreal, coniferous woodlands ( meadows with pastures, and agriculture / farmland )
Great Saltgrass-Plains / Grass-tundra in the center of the land, meadows and fields, extensive cultured arable land

Characteristics: Cities of Oslabad and Jartabad / Harbour Cities ( and the region Ostarda, in which the grey Fenn-Riders have got their home domain )

Population: conurbation of settlers and humans, and in the cities also inhabited by orc’s and any kind of other people ( as Catlings, Dwarves and Barbarians )

Fauna / Animals: to one part comparable to Finland / Denmark
Almost entirely developed and civilized, and net-worked by the railway

Amàrrna / Vrinh ~ 
( Comparable with North-America )

Climate: moderate to mild climate with severe winters ( especially in the mountainous regions of the land )

Vegetation / Shape of landscape: Forests, mountains and inland lake

Characteristics: Danead-Forest and Wood of Vrinh ( Mixed forests ) Forest of Dhúyalas, the Deep ( Coniferous Wood ) as further the castles of Helgh, Valas Vrinh, Meol and Aevarest

Native population: In the forests Elf- Wight, Pixy- and Feyfolk, Trixel etc.
Especially in Vrinh: Humans and Half-Fair‘s!  

Fauna / Animals: Great concentration of deer, bears, wolves and birds of prey

Espen ~
( comparable to Germany )

summergreen forest ( deciduous and mixed wood ) , mild climate
Fauna and kingdom of animals comparable to central Europe

Yadmelvan ~
( comparable to Netherlands / Benelux-States )

mild, moderate climate with long summer and short winter
Forest of Merlendan, the Springlike ( Deciduous - and mixed wood )
‚Dulfar‘ and ‚Bel‘ – Penumbra’s along the ocean coast  
( Dulfar is a lovely region of hillsides, rich pasture land and wide meadows, Bel a region with rough, brown coastal geest- and heathland and moors )

Native population: Pixy, Fairy- and Elven tribes, Trixel-Wights

Madrumah ~

in the north mild climate, in the south cool and rather foggy

Boundless deciduous and mixed woods with the density of a jungle, in the south deep dark coniferous forest and wasteland

Characteristics: The innerest jungles of Madrumah are partly so dense and thick, and tangled up, that it is almost impossible to get through them!!!

River of Gelfenhaar and Fort of the Kirrn ‚Kirrgista‘

Almost completely encircled of Mountains ( the Everlasting Mountains, the Dragon’s Merlons, the Winding Mountains and the majestic Reverend Mountains Of Kronagaar ) 
Completely undeveloped and without civilisation, partly altered by magic, by great area’s

Heart, center and largest part of the Lands Of The Enchanted Forests
Immensely diverse and and rich animal and plant life
Population with a large number of species of fairies, elves and wood-sprites, goblins, wights and pixies and forest demons

Ran through by the traditional routes of the old KAELAAR ( Rangers of the older world )
And full of mythical creatures and monsters / fabulous beasts of all forms and kinds

Hidden in the deepest forests of Madrumah, also the Holy Springs / Fountains of the Heavenly Water and the Tree-Groves of of the ancient druid cult are to be found

Nearness to the big dwarven‘s realm of WORVAUGHN ( Horn-Dwarves ) upon the top of the highest mountain crest of the Everlasting Mountains and to CROWNGARD ( the eyrie of the golden Cyrrloras )
 
Darchaaria ~
( comparable to Italy )

By the coast mediterranean climate, dry, warm and mild, with hot summers
In the inner of the land deep and dense deciduous and mixed woods, in the south hills and growth of hard-leaf plants

Sheavaan ~ 
( Also comparable to Italy )

warm and mild
fertile lowlands, in the south cypress-Forests and growth of hardwood plants

Characteristics: Ruled over by the house of the Daarsceptar, old wolf-knights of their references, from the royal court in the castle of Dawnlake out
To some part also governed along with the priests of the Blood Moon, the Szusuun ( in the forbidden vale, where also the original ancient Moon-Temple with it’s Moon-Clock is located )

High frequency of appearances of the ‚Be-Mooned One‘s‘ / people possessed by lunacy and were-creatures, Jester-Dragons and so-called ‚Death Falcons‘ as also Tomb-Wraithes

Characteristics:
The way it’s name already depicts: A forest completely consistent in wildly rampant, black thorn plants, which – as people say – are at the command of an evil, black magical power and obey it, as soon as it becomes active!

Undead Nightwoods Of Zarr-Dûl ~

Characteristics: Hereditary homeplace of the Night Elves / Nash-Taayad and evil, cunning, partly very old beings ( Giant spiders, Drones of Caustic Hoarfrost / evil dragons, Lich, will-o‘-the-wisp‘s, vampires and undead – evil tree-humans / Crippled Tree Ghosts )
Place of diverse curses and wicked magic spells / Arrshangak

Poison Wood of Dûldruda ~

holds big, concealed factory for Crobok’s and a big, contaminated river in it’s innerest, place of a many slaved fey- and elf creatures who work there

Terromage ~

Mountainous and rocky on it’s coastlines, cool, nordic and partly covered with snow in the north
In the middle of the land are the watelands of Kl’eelgor to be found:
Open table plains with desert and wasteland, and partly arctic tundra and coniferous woods, in the highest north pole caps / eternal ice

Eternal Black Fortress ( Fortress completely made of black vulcano glass, upon which the Master and Lord of Horrors, the humanoid Drude Darkspawn reigns over his desciples and followers ) 
Rich of factories for 'deathwind' and ( magical ) armament machinery, Iron Rok's, War-Golem's, Robot’s etc.

Madrumah -

The utterly biggest of all Enchanted Forests, in the very middle heart of the country, almost encircled by mountains along all it’s sides
The river ‚Gelfenhaar‘ runs westly through it’s insides.
In the south the Eternal Mountains of Tilnai Tir rises up over his southern borders, peaked by the dwarven citadel of Worvaughn.

The cityscape is made especially extra-ordinary by it’s buildings and towers made out of old ship wrecks. Super-structures and riggings, along the urban ditch.
