» Reading Challenge 2011

Last year, I realised that this was a good way to get myself to read significantly more than I had in many of the previous years. This time I'll go with a slightly more realistic goal than 42 - obsession with HGttG be damned.

Comics, graphic novels, manga and plays are not counted towards the number. Poetry collections of less than 50 poems will also be omitted.

Books read: 11/30

Michael Collins : The Keepers of Truth
Daniel Defoe : Moll Flanders
E. M. Forster : Where Angels Fear to Tread
Jane Austen : Pride and Prejudice
Madeleine L'Engle: A Wrinkle in Time
Neil Gaiman & Michael Reaves: InterWorld
J. Michael Bailey: The Man Who Would Be Queen - the science of gender-bending and transsexualism
Neal Stephenson: Zodiac
Johanna Sinisalo : Ennen päivänlaskua ei voi
Pirkko Saisio : Pienin yhteinen jaettava
Aino Kallas : Sudenmorsian

2011-05-16 [Akayume]: I love A Wrinkle in Time!!!

2011-05-16 [Linderel]: It was a nice read. :) I just randomly picked it from the uni library when searching for interesting-looking titles.

2011-05-16 [Akayume]: :D I read it a looong time ago. I think I need to reread it.

2011-05-16 [Linderel]: I was slightly bothered by some of the ideological stuff. It was just so... overt. You'll see what I'm talking about if you do read it again. :)

2011-05-16 [Akayume]: XD Hokay. That reminds me that I need to make a run to the library one of these days...

2011-05-16 [Linderel]: Clarification: I wasn't so much bothered by the ideology itself as I was by the fact that it was so blatant. I don't appreciate it when books push opinions at me. xD

2011-05-16 [Akayume]: I agree. Any opinions. >.>" I've read a few books like that in my days...
