2009-01-05 [Calico Tiger]: You are not required to have one, no :) It's there for convenience sake. We generally put those up on people who we constantly get reports about to let people know that the member is not breaking the rules. Or if you're getting harassed via messages from people telling you you're breaking the rules, that lets them know you are not (in that particular way, anyhow). If you would like one up, we can definitely put one up. But, again, you are not required to have one if you do not wish to have one :D
2009-01-05 [Jitter]: I removed mine cause it made my house ugly and also because I usually send those people to read the rules :P
2009-01-06 [Flisky]: Well, a willing model is hard to find. Heehee.
2009-01-06 [Sagacious Turkey]: Who changed my password to 'sura' while I was banned for the last few years?!
2009-03-22 [Mortified Penguin]: So Sequeeny is retired, huh? ...looks like you guys need a new guard to fill her place. And, well... I'm pretty good at filling places... ladies. Seriously though... pick me! ...*eats ramen*...
2009-03-22 [sequeena_rae]: Somehow I doubt it :P
2009-03-22 [Mortified Penguin]: You just have to believe... and sometimes make deals with Satan...
2009-03-23 [Kyrinn]: Satan was already booked up, Mort, you should know that by now. :P
2009-04-14 [wicked fae mage]: Is this the page I petition for an artistic nudity banner?
2009-04-14 [Jitter]: Yep
2009-04-14 [Nehirwen]: Fixed.
2009-06-10 [Hedda]: Eh... Should that "part time" after [Calico Tiger] be about her, or is it a heading for the rest of the list? It looks like the later now. Please put it after the name on the same line, if it's for her or as a real heading otherwise.
2009-06-10 [Sunrose]: It's a heading :P
2009-06-11 [Calico Tiger]: I'm going to add a space after that part time thing so that it looks like a proper header and not people thinking I'm an r-tard for at least that reason x)
2009-06-11 [Calico Tiger]: There, that should make things more clear
2009-07-24 [Sagacious Turkey]: There aren't many guards these days...
2009-07-25 [Hedda]: There is very little trouble.
2009-07-25 [Nioniel]: I'd like to petition for an artistic nudity banner as well.
2009-08-04 [Sunrose]: Deleted a nr of random comments.
2009-08-05 [Imperator]: "nr"?
2009-08-05 [Chimes]: Number.
2009-08-08 [hanhepi]: stupid question: if a person has a picture of an illegal substance (or illegal for the area they say they are in), such as a bowl full of marijuana, should that be reported?
2009-08-08 [Yuriona]: I guess my first question would be 'did they take the picture?'. If it is their picture, I don't think it should be reported even if it is of a substance that is illegal in their area and potentially offensive to other members here. That's just my opinion though.
2009-08-08 [hanhepi]: yeah, looks like they took the picture. (and omg, its a really pretty bowl! the bud appears to be of average quality... no, no i'm not a conisure at all...).
that's kind of what i was thinking, since there's nothing in the uar about it... its not violence or underage nudity.
2009-08-09 [Calico Tiger]: It's as Yuri said :) Now, I'd like to point out to anyone who is reading this how stupid it is for you to put up a photo that you took of some illegal substances (or of you or your friends using it) and post it in your house. Your house is not private. Anyone can see it. And you just posted evidence against yourself :P So no, there is no rules against it. But personally, I recommend to people not to post those images unless it's legal where you're from just so you don't get yourself in trouble from outside sources. We'd rather keep you people here and not grounded or in prison where you can't visit us ;)
2009-08-10 [hanhepi]: ok, good to know. :)
and yeah, i mean, it is kind of dumb to take photos of anything that could be used against you in court...but then to post them on the internet...
2009-08-10 [Kyrinn]: Amen to that. I just love those police video shows where they show video footage of people recording themselves being stupid, and then they say at the end "this recording helped convict them of *insert crime here*." XD
2009-11-09 [SilverFire]: un-export the wiki.
2009-11-13 [Hedda]: Eh, no! It's enough to disable the not logged in comments.
I re-exported the wiki with disabled comments.
2009-12-16 [ms.mortuary]: If someone has pictures of me on their profile and I want them to take it off,and they refuse to. How would I go about getting that resolved?
2009-12-16 [Kaimee]: You would click the "Send Report to Guards" button at the top of that person's house, and give us as many details as possible there, preferably also including links to your images where you have them uploaded, that way we can check who uploaded them first :)
2010-04-06 [zim_1]: your rules about no outside text are complete bullshit Im quiting this damn site
2010-04-06 [sequeena_rae]: Ok, bye :P
2010-04-14 [Jitter]: So long!
2010-04-14 [Mortified Penguin]: That's what she said!
2010-04-14 [wicked fae mage]: For the rules on outside text...if I remember we're allowed short quotes no more than four lines, no copyright infringement and quizzes with no more than fifty questions. Doesn't seem too hard to follow to me.
2010-08-17 [Mortified Penguin]: I am ready to accept my guard badge and privs now. Feel free to grant them to me at any time.
2010-08-17 [Dragon Wolf]: O.o wow.... pushy arent we?
2010-08-17 [Mortified Penguin]: Well, you kind of have to be with these people. I keep having to remind them that they owe me badges and privs, but they seem to keep forgetting them.
2010-08-17 [Dragon Wolf]: then why not go above them and straight to [Hedda]? but i wouldnt suggest being so pushy with him. just send a pleasant message to him asking for them ^_^ top dog he may be, but he not so difficult to deal with
2010-08-17 [Kaimee]: I'm reasonably sure [Mortified Penguin] already has asked [Hedda] directly, and you still don't see a pair of smoking shoes and ashy remains ;)
Nevertheless, unless you have serious questions for the guards, best to gossip elsewhere...
2010-08-17 [Calico Tiger]: Also of note, [Hedda] is a guard as well and is listed as such on here. So going over the guards' (as a whole, although individuals certainly can be) heads doesn't really happen x)
2010-09-08 [Calico Tiger]: I'm thinking [iippo] needs to be added to retired until she gets back. She can be put back on active at that time. But as far as I know, she's currently not even part time as that would involve logging in, hehe :D
Yes yes, I could do it myself :P But I've lost track of the multitude of pages that need to be kept updated x_x
2010-09-08 [SilverFire]: I thought about it, and then thought 'eh, we've left her active for the last year, she'll be back in six months, why bother now?' <_< *incredibly lazy* This page, council, veterans, council portrait gallery would all need to be fixed.
2010-09-08 [Calico Tiger]: The point is that the active list is for people to know who they can go to to get an answer to a problem within at least a day or two (or even 5) ;) Not months, hehe
2010-09-08 [SilverFire]: can I just put 'inactive' in brackets next to her name? <_< If not it'll have to wait a few days until I have time to take care of all the various pages that'd need to be fix0red.
2010-09-09 [Mortified Penguin]: I'll do it. Just give me the proper privs and badges.
2010-09-09 [Kaimee]: You're more entertaining this way, why would anyone change that? If we gave you responsibiliti
2010-10-07 [Fearathress]: How long does it normaly take for a report to be read? X_X Sorry I am a bit on the antzy side.
2010-10-07 [Kaimee]: Reports are read quickly, and yours has been. Please be patient while we assess this :)
2010-10-07 [Fearathress]: Alright thank you. Again I appologize.
2011-03-09 [Mortified Penguin]: I suspect that's more of an issue for Elfpack's guards, since they're a completely different group of people.
2011-03-09 [Calico Tiger]: Complain on Elfpack. We do not deal with their problems. Have a nice day :)
2011-03-09 [Ihsahn]: lol.
2011-03-09 [Kyrinn]: Elfpack huh? Aint been there in nearly four years.
2011-03-10 [Kaimee]: I both want and don't want to put my two cents in here... xD
I guess that simultaneously means you can't complain on elfpack, and also that your fiancé managed to get your email address banned from elfpack. Go fiancé, sounds like a real swell guy!
Basically, you should not let someone else use your email address to sign up.
You now cannot complain on Elfpack, and since it is a different site from Elftown, you cannot complain to us here and expect us to do anything about it, because it has nothing to do with us.
I advise letting your fiancé deal with his own problems, and getting him to use his own email address in future.
2011-03-10 [Kaimee]: Wow, you're a real swell person too!
Thanks so much for helping your fiancé break the rules on another site, but not only does that really not change anything here (since the guards of this website do not make decisions for the guards of that website), but even if we could help you, you've just admitted to breaking the rules too.
If a person is banned, it is for a reason. Joining under another email address does not negate that reason, it simply gets the new email address banned too.
We cannot help you.
EDIT: In case I'm not being clear enough, even if the members are on both sites, that does not mean you can bring your complaint here. This guards page has nothing to do with the decisions made there.
2011-03-10 [Kaimee]: Yes, presumably because he was banned. That's what being banned means.
It means you cannot use the website anymore. You aren't allowed to, no matter what email address you sign up with.
2011-03-10 [Kaimee]: Well, that's their decision then, we have nothing to do with it, as I and others have already told you here :)
2011-03-10 [Kaimee]: ...God? Oh, of course, you mean the Intergalactic Bureau of Online Cyber Interactions?
I guess you could bring this case to their attention, but they probably wouldn't shut Elfpack down, it's their favourite hangout spot. Those IBOCI guys just love that place *sigh*
2011-03-10 [Kaimee]: I don't think you can go higher than IBOCI, they own the Internet. In fact, I'm pretty sure they invented it.
Of course, you could always boycott the internet, just to show them that you're for serious?
2011-03-10 [Kaimee]: Oh my goodness! Oh no! Didn't you know that was the site the Bureau use to decide who to ban from the whole entire internet?! I thought everyone knew that!
Anyone who posts anything on there will be banned, as soon as they get to you in their list! And even worse, any site that gets a bad review on there gets sent this amazing gift basket, and given the Mighty Mouse(Click) Award. That's the exact opposite of what you want!!
Oh my, maybe it's not too late and you can take it down before they see you, and ban you from the entire internet?
... Ok for reals, you cannot be serious can you?
2011-03-10 [Kaimee]: Ok then, but it was really nice to meet you before you got banned from the entire internet. We sure will miss you :(
Also wait, I'm confused, didn't you see the bits where I said that decisions made on Elftown have nothing to do with decisions made on Elfpack? That's really prejudice against Elves. I thought I was being real nice and helpful, and here you are telling the world you hate us? That's like, so mean.
2011-03-10 [Kaimee]: But I didn't do anything to him, so why be mean to me when I've been so nice to you?
As for your fiance, perhaps if you write a nice report on his house (here, not on Elfpack, we have nothing to do with those jerks :P) explaining the situation, it will be assessed when the guards get to it.
But you better do it soon before the Bureau bans you from the internet, because then neither of you could get on here D:
2011-03-10 [Kaimee]: I apologise to every single other person reading this xD
2011-03-10 [SilverFire]: If your fiancé wants another chance on this website then you need to tell us who he is. We're not psychic. ;) In future, please be more direct in your request - you made ten comments before even telling us about his account on Elftown - we shouldn't have to dig to find out what it is you want us to do!
And maybe you should give us a chance to do something about it before going on about how you're going to tell everyone how awful we are. :)
2011-03-10 [Kaimee]: Ok cool, do you have some sort of 'in' with the Intergalactic Bureau? 'Cause I'm pretty sure they don't have Human Rights on the Internet.
But please go ahead and make that report. I better stop talking to you now in case the Bureau decide to ban me too. Good luck with life without the internet! I'm sure it'll be real wholesome :)
2011-03-10 [Kaimee]: Uh, but www.robtex.com has nothing to do with policing the Internet, why would you complain to them?
They're just some dudes who make software, they're going to be so confused by your email. They'll be like "Dudes... does this chick think we're the Intergalactic Bureau or something?!"
P.S. Complaining about us before we have had a chance to deal with your report is pretty mean. You hurt my feelings. I was going to go read your report but now I feel too sad :(
2011-03-10 [Kaimee]: No way, you just reported my mother, that's so mean!
2011-03-10 [Nioniel]: I saw that you have an app in for crew...maybe having this conversation on this page and trying to get ElfTown (and apparently, [Kaimee]) banned from the interwebz isn't the best way to get us to take your application to crew seriously?
2011-03-11 [SilverFire]: Sorry guys, I deleted the last few posts (nothing personal) but there is a bit too much chatter going on now. :)
2011-03-18 [Mortified Penguin]: The page consists solely of copied text from the comments on other wikis, so it would be irrational to conclude it's a hate wiki. >:u
2011-03-18 [SilverFire]: No, the wiki is fine.
2011-03-21 [Mortified Penguin]: When you try to donate, you'll be taken to Paypal. Where it says "land" select United Kingdom and the page should reload in English.
2011-04-01 [Chimes]: Thank you. :)
2011-04-02 [Chimes]: It's working for me, which browser are you using?
2011-04-24 [SilverFire]: Most of the crew have probably never had to deal with [your naked night] actually, [kians mummy] and have no say in whether he's un-banned, and definitely had no say in whether he was banned in the first place. However, I've already spoken to you about this matter and it does not need to be re-discussed here. :)
2011-04-24 [SilverFire]: I have already spoken to you about that as well. Please check your past messages if you can't remember what I said. :)
2011-05-14 [Ihsahn]: Good luck.
2011-05-15 [Rice]: I don't see how you can collect every council member into this 'asses' category you have created Sammie, most haven't even spoken to you :/
2011-05-15 [SilverFire]: Comented deleted for being essentially nothing but insults. You have been warned about posting such comments before, Sammie. You are welcome to express yourself, but please do so politely. And please make sure that the comments are relevant to the page you are posting them on.
2011-05-15 [SilverFire]: I see no reason to continue this conversation, since you've clearly already decided my opinion for me, thus, my saying anything seems a little pointless. Your concerns have been noted, thank you for your feedback.
2011-05-16 [Nehirwen]: Because I get to do things they don't have the time for. :)
2011-05-16 [Nehirwen]: No, basically I just do other things.
2011-05-16 [Sunrose]: Congrats Nehi! :)
2011-05-17 [iippo]: There also used to be loads more rulebreaking. It's a good thing to need less guards, I think. :)
2011-05-20 [Ravenclaw]: Hey... how do I get an artistic nudity warning in my house?
2011-05-20 [Mortified Penguin]: By making Sailor Moon topless next time?
But in all unseriousness, the guards will add one to the top of your house shortly if that's what you want.
2011-05-20 [Ravenclaw]: Yes please, I recently traded a nude for another pic and I post them periodically.
2011-05-20 [Nehirwen]: You've got an artistic nudity warning now. :)
2011-05-20 [Ravenclaw]: Thanks. Now I just need to get some nudity up again lol.
2011-05-22 [Mortified Penguin]: You don't need any privs to take them over. You just click 'edit' and add yourself as the new page owner.
2011-05-22 [Mortified Penguin]: It wouldn't let you change the page owner while it still had a password, so I got rid of it and made you the new owner.
2011-05-26 [Sagacious Turkey]: Any chance I could get [Gluttony], [Egregious Turkey], [VHVya2V5], [Ω♥broken heart slayer♥Ω], [Narcissistic Turkey], [The Bad Turkey], [Thε ßαd Turkεy], [General Jelly Jiggler], [Thorondor (the lord of the eagles)], [Panty Bandit], [radagast the brown], [Another Turkey], [Polygamist Turkey], [Sagаcious Turkey], [Gregarious Turkey], [Тhе Bad Turkey], [The Bаd Turkey], [Thе Bаd Turkey], [The Bad Turkey²], and [The Bad Turkey³] unbanned as well as the passwords to all of them? There are some others as well, but I can't remember all of them right now.
2011-05-26 [Mortified Penguin]: Ha ha, good times.
2011-05-26 [Linderel]: That's a lot of bad turkeys.
2011-05-28 [Ravenclaw]: I'm probably asking this in the wrong place, but I was considering on chancing my username to Rc, since that's what everyone calls me any way. No underscores or numbers or anything, just plane ole' Rc, but it's already taken by a user who's not been on for over seven years. There's nothing I can do about that is there? I mean it's not a big deal or anything, I was only thinking about it, but an answer would be nice.
2011-05-28 [Paul Doyle]: Just beware of being called "RC Cola" ?
2011-05-28 [Mortified Penguin]: You could make your username 'Rc' and add Alt+0173 to the end. It would look like just plain old 'Rc'. (nevermind, stupid no tabs or newlines rule)
2011-05-28 [Alexi Ice]: I don't think there is anything you can do, Raven. The best suggestion would to be to add a *RC or something to it. That's what my friend ended up doing when she wanted to change her username to something that was already taken ^^
2011-05-28 [Mortified Penguin]: Or, you could copy and paste "Rc". It should work.
2011-06-15 [Chimes]: Yes, that's allowed. It's just a screenshot of the program that they're working on. I do that all the time. :)
2011-06-15 [Ravenclaw]: I'g good I think I'll keep it the way it is. If it was good for the first seven or so years then it'll last me. Thanks though. If I ever get the hankering to change it again I know what to do.
2011-06-17 [Nehirwen]: You can see that at the bottom of your notes page. (you'll have to count them manually though)
2011-06-18 [Ihsahn]: Ihsahn] reports: 1340
2011-06-18 [djxmonster]: I always delete them from my notes after they've been taken care of
2011-06-18 [Mortified Penguin]: Congratulation
2011-06-18 [Ihsahn]: thank youm never minded being one
2011-06-27 [Paul Doyle]: So the rest of ET is reading this wrong, then? Please correct us if we are out of line.
2011-06-27 [Nehirwen]: He is banned for continuing his harassment after he was given a final warning.
2011-07-01 [Nehirwen]: You have one now.
2011-07-13 [djxmonster]: Please stop spamming official pages!
2011-07-14 [Nehirwen]: Sammie, you have asked us to unban him not long ago, I'm sorry but the answer will not be any different from last time.
2011-07-14 [SilverFire]: It would be unprofessional of us to unban someone whom we don't feel ought to be unbanned, just because it happens to be their birthday. There is nothing unprofessional in returning to you a decision with which you disagree, however.
2011-07-14 [Nehirwen]: We don't unban people as birthday present, that would not be very professional nor fair. ;)
2011-07-14 [SilverFire]: But he was given multiple chances before he was banned. We use banning as a last resort, and because we give people multiple chances to correct their behaviour *before* banning them, and thus because we think about the decision so carefully before making it, we're less likely to reverse it.
2011-07-14 [Nehirwen]: You already have our answer sammie, it's not going to change suddenly.
2011-07-14 [Nehirwen]: I've send you a message, let's not clutter this page with disagreement.
2011-07-17 [Sagacious Turkey]: I think you should unban him and give him one last chance. If he messes up even a little, you should permaban him and Sammie won't be able to complain anymore, since you gave him another chance and he proved he couldn't change. That way, Sammie is appeased, the guards appear more accessible and flexible, and [your naked night] gets to have one more chance to redeem himself.
2011-07-18 [SilverFire]: We don't want to appear more flexible. We want our other members to be safe in the knowledge that we won't let the members who harassed them and made them feel uncomfortable back on the site.
2011-07-18 [SilverFire]: As [Nehirwen] pointed out to you previously, you yourself say that "Harassment of other members should result in a permanent ban." I presume you don't think that your acquaintances should be an exception to this rule? THAT would be very unfair indeed.
2011-07-18 [SilverFire]: But... that's not permanent. Permanent MEANS "forever". A year-long ban would be a temporary ban. However, this is getting irrelevant. Our decision stands, and further comments will not change it.
2011-07-19 [Sagacious Turkey]: Well, I was banned for a lot worse and then I got unbanned... seven times! And now look at me! I'm a great asset to the community. Without me, I'm pretty sure Elftown would crumble and die within a month.
2011-07-19 [djxmonster]: What's a garbadge?
2011-07-19 [Alexi Ice]: You said yourself that the guards don't talk to him. That isn't 'treating people like garbage'.
2011-07-20 [SilverFire]: Ignorance. There is no such word as 'ignorancy'. Please drop this issue now.
2011-07-20 [SilverFire]: My comment was directed at everyone.
2011-07-20 [Dragon Wolf]: Wow. Just wow. Personally if said person really wants to be "unbanned" then they should simply E-MAIL a guard or [Hedda] themselves instead of having others do their grunt work for them. It would show maturity and change in behavior. (Granted im just opinionated on what I have read here and really not a care in the world if they get what they want or not). Alas, the guards said ta zip it on the issue. If you dont like their decision then simply leave or take it up with [Hedda] as he the only one that can overrule the guards on here.
Anyhoopy. I gots a question and hopefully one y'all guards can help. I would like images of mine uploaded on here removed off of here completely. As in the link for the picture will no longer work/be accessible. Anyone with the privs to do that or do I need to take it to Hedda to have that done?
2011-07-21 [Mortified Penguin]: If you uploaded them to your drawing or photo slot in your house, you can delete them from there. If you uploaded them elsewhere, you'll need to specify which image(s) you want deleted and a guard should be able to take care of it from there.
And emailing the guards individually is never as effective as getting a friend to talk to them here.
2011-08-03 [Dragon Wolf]: True, but it shows effort in the matter.
Now if the guards remove them from a wiki page will the link that was created from the upload itself still be functional elsewhere on the net?
2011-08-03 [Mortified Penguin]: If they simply removed the link/picture from a wiki page, then yes. If they completely deleted the picture, then no.
2011-08-04 [Dragon Wolf]: okay. Thank you very much. I will take it to Hedda.
2011-08-04 [djxmonster]: Please stop spamming official wiki pages.
2011-08-04 [Kyrinn]: Fine. Please stop spamming official wiki pages.
2011-08-20 [Dragon Wolf]: *Face palms* oi
2011-10-15 [iippo]: To be clear: everybody please leave the comment space of official pages for comments that are actually relevant to that page. For example, on this page it would be good to have comments that are questions/comm
I don't think I used the word 'comment' enough many times in this comment yet...
2011-10-17 [iippo]: Posting links to your own wiki-pages and asking people to look at it can/will pretty much always be seen as spamming, and when done on official pages will pretty much always cause a stink. The content of the page doesn't really make a difference. And it is strongly adviced to not do that. A good example of a reason to post a link could be "hey, I made this wikipage (link) and I have a guard-related question about it: la?"
2011-12-19 [Lumos Maxima]: Hi I was wondering I someone could help me with a wiki page issue?
2011-12-19 [Mortified Penguin]: Sure, what's the problem?
2012-01-14 [wicked fae mage]: Is there some sort of a warning that can be put at the top of houses that deters people from sending risque messages?
2012-04-01 [Yuriona]: Inactivity does not result in the removal of badges. :)
2012-04-01 [Sunrose]: Doesn't not = does LOL :P
2012-11-13 [pegasus1000]: I'm not sure if this problem should be reported here, but I have just noticed a problem on my home page. When reading my info some of the words have been changed to having an outside add. It looks like the words are a link to a wiki page, but they are really just an add for phones or other stuff. I have not done this and I'm not sure if I'm the only one to see it.
Also, I have navigated away from the page and then returned to have the links disappear... It is really odd.
2012-11-13 [pegasus1000]: I have noticed this on other peoples houses too. For example on one persons home the words "video games" would have a link to the MSRP rating
other words would be a link to surveys to win i-pads or other links
2012-11-13 [pegasus1000]: I was thinking that may be the case. I'll have my husband look into it. Thanks Silvie
2012-11-23 [wicked fae mage]: I have an issue with one of the poems in the Daily Poem's queue. Its language seemed odd to me, so I googled the first 4 lines or so and it comes up as the lyrics to a song, mostly. There are some differences, but it is more than enough for me to think the poem itself was plagiarized.
2012-11-26 [Teufelsweib]: did you contact the daily poem bosses about it?
2012-11-26 [wicked fae mage]: Flisky handled everything. Thanks, though! :)
2013-04-12 [kians mummy]: Question, am I aloud to put an Iframe of my website, into my house through my image wiki, of my website?? :)
2013-04-12 [Chimes]: That is a very good question, do you mean that it would be in the description bit of one of your photos?
2013-04-14 [kians mummy]: Yes. :)
2013-04-14 [kians mummy]: See, the photo description is in fact a wiki, and you can display, as long as not offensive or breaking rules, ie 18+ anything on there
2013-04-14 [Chimes]: I know this. :P I think, if it follows all rules applied to your House (since it will also be displaying there even though it's on a wiki) and it isn't huge, it should be fine. If it's giant we may ask you to make it smaller or take it off. :)
(Other guards: if you disagree, please comment!)
2013-04-14 [Nehirwen]: Nah, I agree. Follow house rules and don't make it huge.
2013-04-14 [kians mummy]: What dimensions shall I put it as then? :)
2013-04-14 [Mortified Penguin]: Hey, Sammie. I don't like you. That being said, "Using the iframe in your house is not allowed and doing so will result in your priv 90 being removed."
Quote can be found on iframe. And while you're technically putting it in a wiki, it still ends up on your house. So you can't do it.
2013-04-15 [kians mummy]: Ok, thanks, just let me know what he says so I know if I can do it or not,. :)
2013-04-17 [Nehirwen]: Huh, I forgot about that wiki. I see it's not allowed after all. Sorry! But you can always put a link to your iframed wiki in your house. =)
2013-04-18 [Chimes]: It went to the rest of the guards. I apologise for telling you the wrong thing.
2013-04-18 [kians mummy]: Oh, no need to apologize [Chimes], I would of done the same thing, hope your all doing well anyway, I am going to be entering as many competitions as I can soon, as I want to submit more and spend a bit more time on here than usual.
Again, I would just like to say I am sorry for my past behavior, my bitchyness, and thanks to [Stephen] I have changed all that, he is a great person and Mentor, he helped me with a lot and put a lot of trust into me, and I didn't go against it. so thanks [Stephen] when you next come on here lol.
[Chimes] [Nehirwen] and the rest of the crew, thanks for helping me on here, and I am sorry for when you gave me a chance to help out, I went against it, I would love to have another chance, without the privs or badge if you like, just so you can see I have changed.
I am loving helping on most of Heddate sites, being given the chance, I even said, if I mess up, ban me, and I would sign up to that to and there is a way to do it:
Say the rules on a wiki, get me to edit it and put my name on then I will save it, then you, edit it to be only editable by the guards forum lol.
This is not me job Mongering, just want to help, but I don't think I stand a chance, as knowbody trusts me, though I have behaved.
2013-04-18 [Mortified Penguin]: Give it up, Sammie. You will never be a crew member here. And you aren't a huge asset to Elfpack or any other site either, you just do easy grunt work to make you feel special and to keep you quiet. You aren't capable of contributing in any real, meaningful way and you never will be.
In any case, kindly move this discussion to some other non-official wiki, assuming there are any you're welcome at. <3
2013-04-18 [kians mummy]: Ahh stop being a grump just because you felt like I dind't appreciate you getting me on the crew and that i never thanked you as I am still learning (Elfpack for those who read this)
2013-04-19 [Paul Doyle]: It's sad, but somewhat amusing, that shit like this is the 2013 version of an "Elftown hotspot" . . . I miss the actual ART and e-community feel, the nostalgic vibe that keeps me logging onto this website even though there's really nothing new to log in for, anymore. Back in the day the "hotspots" were all about the artwork and role-playing and fun, and not about all this Elfpackish bullshit.
That's all I'm going to say, by the way :)
2013-10-13 [Sunrose]: Well, I'd like to see some new art from you. The art in your house dates 2010!
2013-10-13 [Paul Doyle]: Sunny, I am a writer who learned how to doodle along the way. The writing is my lifelong passion, and it holds higher priority than the artwork (which I also greatly enjoy). The art is currently on hold.
I'm currently beginning the process of getting my ongoing "Telkar Chronicles" book sequence published. I'm currently undergoing the agonizing yet necessary process of doctoring the 330,000 word first novel (which I initially finished in 2005), which needs some sprucing up without affecting the story itself . . . retconning stuff developed in the second novel, modernizing the technology, making some of the supporting characters more likeable, removing misplaced lame comic-relief in tense scenes and placing it in quieter spots where the book could use it, and so forth.
Long story short, regarding the artwork? In these past few years my wife and I saved our marriage, and avoided almost-certain financial doom that would have happened if the marriage crumbled. (Through it all, I kept my wits intact by working on the still-unfinish
I will produce new artwork when the artwork is ready to be produced (and hopefully by then, I will have started some formal art lessons . . . )
2013-10-13 [Sunrose]: Glad to hear you managed to get through the marital crisis :)
Art can mean writing too though. You write in your profile that you do share some of it on FaceBook..
2013-10-13 [Mortified Penguin]: You should let me do the audiobook for the series. My suave, majestic voice will keep people listening, despite that you never mentioned Bob's Diner in the story or made a loveable, sophisticated, Mary Sue character named Mort for some reason.
2013-10-14 [hanhepi]: Actually Paul, if there IS a diner scene in any of the books, you could call the place Bob's....
2013-10-15 [Paul Doyle]: Actually, there is something of a diner scene in the first novel (a scene that I'm reworking, along with several other things eight years after Book One was supposedly "done") . . . it's more of a HoJo's clone than a diner, but some of the people in there are as sleazy as hell . . . if it does need a name (most likely not) Bob's might be a worthy name ;-)
2013-10-15 [Mortified Penguin]: As long as it's sleazy and disgusting, I have an image to uphold.
2013-10-15 [hanhepi]: See? It's perfect: You're already fiddling with that book; it's full of sleazy people; the one time I ate at a HoJo's the food was on par with everything on Bob's menu... . You were writing about Bob's the whole time, you just didn't know it.
2013-10-16 [Paul Doyle]: That scene has been there, in one form or another, since pre-Elftown :) (I had to get rif of the smoking section, and a few little things)
2013-10-16 [Mortified Penguin]: If nothing else, a loveable beggar named Mort living on the street corner that gets slain for stealing wheat would suffice.
2013-12-05 [Mortified Penguin]: Or he could get slain for stealing grain! Either way, really. But that second way rhymes.
