2004-05-20 [HiddenFire]: perhaps it is not made well known so as to keep the number of submissions down. eventually word will spread and as more and more wiki-pages get selected it will become more well known. the number of submissions as it is is quite large, i know i wouldnt want to be the one checking through them all. @;@

2004-05-20 [True, plain and simple]: There is a link from the index. There is a link to the results on Fame, I think, as well. A fair portion of the wikis might get disquallified immediately; either the person didn't follow the rules in submitting, or the wiki itself just isn't something we'd like to show period. It was shown on Mainstreet, yes..But then we took it down. Maybe next month I'll leave it up for the entire month. :)

2004-09-09 [Arany]: hey, can i make a suggestion? wouldn't it be helpfull, besides the nice words the featured wikis receive, to have some on how to improve the wikis as well? they may be featured, but they are not perfect and that could help raising the general wiki quality...

2004-09-09 [Ocean Dreaming]: No, it wouldn't. People don't want to hear an in-depth report on how to improve. They want the publicity and the knowledge that a place they made/love has won some form of award for the hard work already done. It beats the point of giving a reward if you knock them down with a sledge hammer the moment after.

2004-09-10 [HiddenFire]: Actually there is something to his suggestion. Though I agree with [Ocean Dreaming] on this one. Would there be a wiki devoted to suggesting the things that makea good wiki? Things people are looking for, Things to consider, suggestions, tips, etc... It would at least be helpfull to those who want to start up their own little sub-comunity. But not in the featured wiki awards. The last thing we need to hear is "you won! But we hated this or that and suggest fixing it." Ack! What a kick in the face that would be! @.@

2004-09-10 [Arany]: you're probabaly right on this one. well i had one of my wikis featured although I thought it had some serious gaps... it would have been more like a chalendge than a hammer kick to receive some suggestions on how to improve it! but that's me, i go for "there's always room for improvement", other people may have different opinions

2004-11-30 [All_Most PUNK]: The wiki awards are back after a long time. There's been a problem with the old versions of the wikis, so I couldn't find every person that had nominated a wiki to give them the guestbook message. Sorry. Still, you know who you are.
