Being "known" on ET doesn't help a lot. That's actually the reason why we don't feature crew people: because they are already well known, at least most of them. The idea is to put the spotlight on less "famous" people. Of course, since we follow (not always, but lots of times) your dominations, how little known they are is up to you.
Being active does help, though.

However, Elftown's active members are roughly equal, with 408 males and 422 females logging on in the last week. So it isn't a lack of male members causing this. Does this mean that females on Elftown are inherently more interesting and deserving of being featured? Or perhaps only females are ever nominated? That can't be true though, I've seen plenty of males nominated before. So what then is the case? Maybe the Featured Member Bosses are to blame, but that can't be it. The Crew is infallible, as we're all so well aware of. Maybe it's all just a coincidence or something, like how the Crew is also mostly female... I dunno... *eats ramen*...
