Elftown Graphics Main Page
Ok, we realize that a lot of us like to decorate our houses. But so many of you keep using images that break the Uploading Art Rules. So here's the idea. How about we all get together and create a page that contains graphics that you can put into your house?

On this page you will find:
-the rules of using images;
-the rules of posting images;
-the sections where you can donate and/or find images.
Read and follow the rules before you use or donate any images.

Rules of Use

* Do not claim to be the artist of the image unless you are the artist
It would be nice if you also put underneath the image who the Elftown Artist is, or at least a link back to this page somewhere in your bio, but it's not necessary.

* Do not edit the image in any way

* Do not use the image outside of Elftown
Remember, these images were made by Elftowners, for Elftowners, for use in Elftown, so don't put these images elsewhere or you'll lose the privilege of using these images at all. ^_^

Rules of Posting

*All images must be approved by the Elftown Graphics Group. Please place your donations on the page Elftown Graphics Submissions for approval. Please read these rules before submitting:

* The images MUST have been created by YOU.

* The images must follow the Uploading Art Rules.

* Upload your images to Elftown.
The images must be uploaded to Elftown. Images uploaded elsewhere will be removed.

* Keep the images no bigger than 300x300 pixels. Dividers and words are the exception: they may be up to 500 pixels in length.

* Animated .GIFs are not allowed.

* Transparent backgrounds only.
If your image has a background, make it a transparent background (GIF) to accommodate any changes in the colour of stylesheets.
To upload your image with a transparent background you can use the feature 'Upload a folder of images' that is shown on your house.
This feature allows you to upload one, multiple images or zip-files in their original size to a wikipage.

Dividers and banners usually don't have a background.

-This rule doesn't apply to images already donated.

* Graphics submitted on lined, notebook paper will not be accepted.

You may not upload EG graphics to your photo/drawing slot unless you made it and don't have wiki-privs.

* How to place your art:
Post your art in the Elftown Graphics Submissions page for approval by the Elftown Graphics Group.

* Obey all other Elftown rules.

EG SECTIONS

EG Banners - Banners for Advertising Elftown Graphics.
EG Bullets - Bullets, Buttons, and Bits.
EG Dividers - Lines, Dividers, and Page Breaks.
EG Fantasy Races - Elftown Fantasy Race Personality Images.
EG Misc - A rather large selection of Miscellaneous images that do not belong to a category...yet
EG Seasonal - Images with a holiday theme.
EG Welcome Mats - Welcoming messages for Elfhouses and wiki pages.
EG Words - For images that contain only or mostly words and are not Welcome mats.
EG Zodiac symbols - Zodiac images

EG Special Artist's Sections - Each artist who has donated at least 20 images gets his or her own wiki to put the images on. Look here for artist-specific images you can use

Nonimages - Not really a part of Elftown Graphics but this is where you can find bullets and dividers that doesn't apply to the 10 images limit in your house.

2009-10-09 [Nehirwen]: You could try asking in <forum:Free Art wanted>, but I'm not sure how active that forum is.
I don't know any active wiki either.. you can always try asking an artist in person if they want to help you though.

2009-10-11 [Ravenclaw]: I used to be pretty good at those things. I made a few banners for some of my X-Men games. The following are some examples and things I made just dicking around. If you like I might be able to help you, nothing too fancy though.

2009-10-12 [Miaye]: well, what I was looking for was bascically just a banner with the name on it and some random drawings from the stories in the background

2009-10-13 [Ravenclaw]: Ahh I see. Well since I'm not a part of the page I wouldn't know what to add to the background then. If you can't find what your looking for I'll still offer my services if your interested.

2009-10-21 [another brick in the wall]: I remember way back in the day, there were a few pics somewhere that said "I SURVIVED THE ET BLACKOUT '05" or whatever year that was when the surver crashed. I don't know why but I feel I finally want one of those pics, I guess to show that I was a member that long. :P does anyone know where to find them?

2009-10-22 [Ravenclaw]: God I remember the Blackout *shivers* I don't remember how long ET was down but I do remember going threw withdraws for a while. Shaking in cold sweats beneath my bed was the safest place in the world at the time.
