Elftown CG Tutorials

Have you long wanted to know the magic of those that create beautiful art using computers? If so then you have come to the right place. Here there is a growing stash of secret manuscripts and ancient scrolls from which you can draw knowledge and great power. Be it known that simply reading these will not grant you power. You will have to weave the magic yourself and practice hard.

What does "CG" stand for? It stands for "Computer Graphics" and refers to any computer generated image. It can be 2D or 3D.

If you wish to add a tutorial for your favorite Computer Graphics program then please do so. Please, place your wiki tutorial link in the correct section of this wiki. It will lessen the confusion of those that seek knowledge.

Here you may find tutorials for everything from Microsoft Paint to Adobe Photoshop to the latest 3D rendering program. It all depends on other Elftowners' support and personally written reviews. So, if you know some secrets or just want to help the beginer then start writing a small or large review!

For any questions or comments please feel free to use the comment box below.

Rules of posting a tutorial:

2. - Please, list your tutorial(s) in the same manner as others have listed theirs.

Following these rules will help greatly in making this place less confusing.

2005-02-24 [Sunrose]: All Guards can see passwords for wikis ;) // uhm so what page do you want it on? (link please ;)

2005-02-24 [hanhepi]: this page. in the section "Related wiki pages you should visit:"(right above the "edit this page button") make it the last one, above the last divider there.

2005-02-24 [Sunrose]: Fixed ;)

2005-02-24 [hanhepi]: thamk you :)

2005-06-21 [Yuriona]: Hey! How come no one is offering a tutorial in Paintshop Pro yet?? It's the only thing I use. :P

2005-06-22 [hanhepi]: i havent done one cause i dont have the program. lol. write one up for us!

2005-06-22 [Yuriona]: Well maybe I will! LOL!!

2005-06-22 [Yuriona]: Ok, I've got the wiki started. Once I have the first tutorial done I'll post the link. ^^ I don't know when that will be though since my laptop monitor died today but I'll try to get one finished ASAP. :D

2005-06-28 [The Scarlet Pumpernickle]: Help can anyone make a tutorial on how to creat transpartent gif images?

2005-06-28 [ServerKill]: google it... very popular

2005-06-28 [The Scarlet Pumpernickle]: I did...I can make the image trasparent but ET allway puts a white or red background behind it when I upoad it...

2005-07-01 [Nita]: ET doesn't "put" a background in the picture, it just makes it non-transparent again. You can get the privs to upload images on wiki pages, then ET won't touch them.

2005-07-01 [The Scarlet Pumpernickle]: Oh! And I was just given them for being good ^_^ that makes me happy :)

2005-07-04 [Yncke]: Started on such a tutorial: How do I make transparent images? Still working on it though...

2005-07-26 [Paz]: I've started a tutorial that I'll be glad to let Elftown use. It's still under construction but oh well, here it is: Paz's Tutorials

2006-01-01 [Zab]: Shouldn't here be a link to tutors, or maybe Elftown Tutorials? Here are so many tutorial pages on Elftown! And most of them seem to be created completely without any notice of the other tutorial-pages..*gets slightly confused* :P

2006-02-06 [nunt]: Would anyone like to offer some constructive critisisms on I picture I have made on the computer for valentines day? I'd be very grateful. I just want to make sure that's it's as special as it can be. Call me a perfectionist if you will.

2006-09-11 [The Fuzzily Psychotic Llama is Dead]: I have created a tutorial for creating transparent GIFs on Microsoft Word: Creating Transparent GIFS on MS Word if it's any help for people who don't have computer imaging software. (I don't even have paint!)

2006-09-16 [Aeolynn]: I'm having trouble with Macromedia's Fireworks for making transparent gifs, can anyone help me?

2006-09-16 [The Fuzzily Psychotic Llama is Dead]: Well if you got Microsoft Word for Mac, the little link thing in my previous comment might help, as I did it on a Apple Mac.

2006-09-16 [Aeolynn]: K I'll try that thx
