For the general rules see Elftown Creature Marathon#RULES!

Copied art is NOT permissible in Elftown's Official Contests. Please see: Copying vs Fanart & Referencing.

Exceptions might be offered if there is a valid reason for it. But, if you do submit more than one image, you will greatly lower your chance of winning, as the votes for your style will be spread out on two entries.

To upload your image full-size you can use the feature 'Upload a folder of images' that is shown on your house.
This feature allows you to upload one, multiple images or zip-files in their original size to a wikipage.
Once you click this link you can follow the instructions. See also uploading images.

Any entry that does not follow the "Unari theme", will be removed.
If you feel any of the entries break the rules, please speak up before the entries make it to the polls. You can still speak up even after the contest is closed, as long as the polls have not yet gone up yet. Complaints received after the aforementioned will not be considered valid.

All mediums, excepting photography (and/or manipulations) and animations will be accepted.

When the finalists are posted in the Main Street Poll or on a public poll page, the participants are not allowed to beg for votes for their own entry. Do not ask people to vote for your entry via private messages, guestbook messages, moods, wikis, or by any other means. Your entry will be disqualified if you are caught doing so. It is perfectly fine to advertise THE POLL, however!

REMEMBER THE GOAL: We want the BEST QUALITY images to represent Elftown having the best Unari Page on the Internet as part of the Elftown Creature Marathon!

Brief description:
- Unari are a curious mix of elf and unicorn whose origins are attributed to divine intervention.
- Physical Description: Unari are humanoid and much taller and more robust then their elven cousins, typically standing 5 to 6 ½ feet tall and weighing 135 to 250 pounds.
- To read more about a unar, go to Unari.

If you have art of an 'atypical' unar, you're welcome to submit it here, but we'll mark it as outside of contest.

Aside from the regular rewards, as mentioned on Elftown Creature Marathon, the winner will receive credit for contributing to what we hope will be the best Unari-page on the entire Internet.

How to post your entry:
Add your username and entry after the last one that has been already posted. Number your entries, thumbnail them to 300 (Please upload big images!), and separate them with the <hr> tag:

Title your entries, please!

A title more than just "Unar" is needed.
Thank you!

1. [Asrun] - "Nelia the Unari"

2. [Thistlewood] - "Dancer"

3. [Chel.] - "Golden glow"

4. [Erubeus] - "Umi; 'Wanna Nooky?'"

5. [arthemis_] "Rose Glass"

6. [jacen81] "Unlikely Alliance"

2009-04-17 [Chimes]: What Silvie said. :P

2009-04-17 [Alexi Ice]: So AKA coloring the 'background' would fly, eh?

2009-04-25 [Thistlewood]: If it is not what you are looking for let me know and I'll remove it.

2009-04-26 [Chel.]: Totally want to do this...

2009-04-26 [Alexi Ice]: Oh! Pretty! I especially like her feet <3

2009-04-26 [Chel.]: or is it...hooves..?

2009-04-26 [Alexi Ice]: Proabably! LOL. I never even thought about that

2009-04-27 [Asrun]: Nice piece Thistle. :3 I love her hooves and tail!

2009-04-27 [Erubeus]: Aha. Nice tail.
Reminds me of my hellhound's tail.

2009-04-27 [Thistlewood]: Thank you!

2009-05-12 [Chimes]: Artsie.. why did you change the images? I looked on view diff and the URLs are different. Mind explaining for me? o.o

2009-05-12 [Artsieladie]: Because [Hedda] wants the better file names on contest images.

2009-05-12 [Chimes]: Well... you should ask the entrants before you tamper with their entries. Or at least tell someone that you are going to do it. Otherwise it could be construed as cheating.

2009-05-19 [Chel.]: So...I'm wondering if more people will join...

2009-05-25 [Artsieladie]: [Chimes]: Making better file names has absolutely no correlation with cheating. [Hedda] can explain this better than I.

Very nice entries everyone! :D

2009-05-25 [Chimes]: Yes, but you could have edited the images before uploading so it could cause it to be put into question - No, I am not accusing you but other people could think that. This isn't your job, so if you want to do something like that ask/tell someone you are. And, the people who made the entries should be approached BEFORE you re-upload them rather than just doing it.

2009-05-25 [nehirwen]: It's not reuploading Chimsey, you can change file names by adding something between brackets, so if you have a file named nehirwen.jpg you can change the filename like this: nehirwen.jpg(nehirwensdrawing) and the file will show up as nehirwensdrawing.jpg, nothing changed about the file itself but it's name. :]
(although it's not Artsies job to change it indeed) ;)

2009-05-25 [Chimes]: But the URLs have changed too? Whenever I do the brackets thing... it doesn't change the URLs. Surely if the image location itself has changed they have to have been re-uploaded?

2009-05-25 [nehirwen]: No, they make the URL change as well. (but only after you made the edit, the original URL still works too though)

2009-05-25 [Chimes]: Wow... that's confusing. O.o So essentially... those images are now on Elftown twice. XD Wow.

2009-05-25 [nehirwen]: I don't know about images being twice on Elftown, I think there's just two ways to view the same image. But if you're confused, you can ask Hedda about the specifics. :)
