For the general rules see Elftown Creature Marathon#RULES!

Exceptions might be offered if there is a valid reason for it. But, if you do submit more than one image, you will greatly lower your chance of winning, as the votes for your style will be spread out on two entries.

Note: For images larger than 500 pixels wide, you will need wikiprivs to upload these larger images to a wiki page.

- OR -

You can use the feature 'Upload a folder of images', a button shown at the top of your house.
This feature allows you to upload one, multiple images or zip-files in their original size to a wikipage.
Once you click this link, simply follow the instructions.
See also: uploading images.

You may also ask for priv 99:
This priv allows you to upload images directly to a wiki-page.
You may ask [Hedda], [Yuriona], or directly on the Guards page for this priv 99.

Any entry that does not follow the "Fairy/Fae theme", will be removed.

All mediums, excepting photography (and/or manipulations) and animations will be accepted.

- "FAIRY" images
- The BEST QUALITY images
- LARGE IMAGES represent Elftown having the best Fae Page on the Internet as part of the Elftown Creature Marathon!
This may be helpful: Fairy.

Brief description:
Appearance: Mainly female, but there are also males, and child-faeries are actually just as considerable as grown fae. They look young, although they may be hundreds of years old.

Remember, we want to stay away from elves here. Save your elves for the ECM Elf Session that's to be the next 'featured creature'.

Two important notations:

---> #1: When the finalists are posted in the Main Street Poll or on a public poll page, the participants are not allowed to beg for votes for their own entry. Do not ask people to vote for your entry via private messages, guestbook messages, moods, wikis, or by any other means. Your entry will be disqualified if you are caught doing so. It is perfectly fine to advertise THE POLL, however!
---> #2: If you feel any of the entries break the rules, please speak up before the entries make it to the polls. You can still speak up even after the contest is closed, as long as the polls have not yet gone up yet. Complaints received after the aforementioned will not be considered valid.

/Thank you - the ECM Mods and the Elftown Council.

If you have art of 'typical' fairies, you're welcome to submit them here:

ECM Fairy/Fae Art.

Aside from the regular rewards, as mentioned on Elftown Creature Marathon, the winner will receive credit for contributing to what we hope will be the best Fae-page on the entire Internet.

How to post your entry:
Add your username and entry after the last one that has been already posted. Number your entries, thumbnail them to 300 <i>(Please upload big images!)
, and separate them with the <hr> tag:

1. [moira hawthorne] 'My Computer Bradach'
he's a nasty little fae who I dont understand at all... he pees on things and crashes for no reason and basically misbehaves... and when he gets pissy he talks in a language I dont understand! o.O

2. [Jitter] Yay for animal fairies ^^

3. [Grandamelf]"Mutant Fairy Fae"
Mutant Fairy Fae-She is an admirer of "Tigers" Calico and otherwise!

4. [Thrivis] "Trendy Fairy" - Always wanted to have a fairy in a trendy urban setting, like a coffee joint or one of those smoothie shops. She's hip with it, or something.

2008-03-26 [BlackSolitude]: I cant submit.. something's going wrong.. :(

2008-03-26 [Hedda]: [BlackSolitude]: If you explain exactly what you did and what happened, then we might be able to help you.

2008-03-26 [Artsieladie]: First of all, [BlackSolitude], I see you are new here to Elftown, so Welcome to Elftown!". <img:stuff/dand-gif.gif> Next, though, when you enter an official contest here, it is required to upload your image to Elftown. You are trying to place a Photobucket image up. <img:stuff/sa-gif.gif>

2008-03-26 [Hedda]: Aha, she had edited an earlier version. I uploaded the image now.

[BlackSolitude]: The best way to upload an image is to use the "Upload a folder of images" button in your house. There you can upload a full-size image to a newly created wiki-page. Then you can copy the code <img300*0:stuff/...> to another wiki-page like this one for example.

2008-03-26 [Artsieladie]: Thanks, [Hedda].

2008-03-26 [Jitter]: [BlackSolitude] you need to submit only images you have drawn yourself. (And it hyas to be your original design not a copy of an existing drawing etc)

2008-03-26 [Artsieladie]: Thanks, Jitter. [BlackSolitude], because you are new here, your image has simply been removed this time. Please read: Uploading Art Rules. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me or any Council member. ;)

2008-03-27 [Hedda]: [Thrivis]: If you think that a mug like that is trendy, you must be American <img:stuff/sutN.gif> Which made me think of cheerleader fairies. They should be great at it!

Next up: A fairy in burqa!

2008-03-27 [Artsieladie]: Hmm...Americans are of many nationalities & cultures. My neighbor is Swedish, FYI. :P

2008-03-27 [Hedda]: Those mugs would typically only exist in a "trendy" place in USA. A trendy place in any café in Europe wouldn't use such mugs regardless of what country or trend it is.

2008-03-28 [Thrivis]: Yeah, I'm from the USA. Food joints everywhere here use those paper covered travel cups. Especially coffee places and cafes! lol. I had no idea it was only a US thing though. Kind of shows how much is based on the "to-go" aspect of food here.

2008-03-28 [Hedda]: We have those mugs in "junk-places" here. Not in trendy places, as far as I know.

2008-03-29 [Artsieladie]: I drink from my own mug, which is not a throw away (& doesn't contribute to the far-too-much trash problem), & it has a horse on it, of course. <img:stuff/sutN.gif>

2008-08-26 [Grandamelf]: Oh My word! I can't believe it! I won! Thank you everybody!<img:stuff/shadN-gif.gif> I am so thrilled!

2008-08-26 [Artsieladie]: *hugs Sis* *plays "For she's a jolly good fellow"* Oh, wait! *plays "For she's a jolly good lady"* *winks* Congrats, dear! <img:stuff/dand-gif.gif>

2008-08-26 [Grandamelf]: Thank You! [Artsieladie] Big hugs! LOL! Make that Jolly "OLD LADY" ha ha!

2008-08-27 [Artsieladie]: Eh! You aren't old! You are wise and youthful in spirit! *big hugs back* <img:stuff/cheshmak.gif>

2008-08-28 [Thrivis]: Grats grandamelf for winning! :D I love the stripes on your fairy. ^_^

2008-08-28 [Grandamelf]: Hi [Thrivis] Thanks, but you were the favorite! I was blown away! It would have been nice if there had been more entries. Contgrats to you too! I thought your Artwork was so much better!<img:stuff/cheshmak.gif>
