Rules:

1. CRITERIA: Photographs must be taken and posted here by the original author.

2. PROOF:
You're required to also post some proof of the genuineness of the submissions. Pictures that have no proof pics after the deadline will be removed.
For each photo entered, you must submit a proof photo. Plus, if you submit an edited picture you must also add the unedited picture, unless the edit is minor, like brightness tweaks etc.

To enter this contest you have to submit a new picture combined with a proof picture with a hammer taken during the same photo shoot.

This has two reasons:
- The proof photo shows that the picture is yours.
- Both pictures have to be new, because we want you to make your entries especially for this theme. The picture should clearly show that you thought about the theme and how you want to reflect this.
You can't have done this before the contest, because you didn't know of it then.

The proof photo must be a picture of the same scenery/environment, but it has to somehow include a hammer.

3. QUALITY-ISSUES:
Please put forth your best effort and the best quality, i.e.
- no ancient/blurry/webcam/mobile phone photographs
- All pieces must be new, made for this contest. That means you may not submit a photo you have made before this contest or one that was submitted to another (official or unofficial) contest already.

4. EACH MEMBER MAY SUBMIT TWO (2) ENTRIES.

5. ALL IMAGES MUST BE UPLOADED TO ELFTOWN!
To upload your image full-size you can use the feature 'Upload a folder of images' that is shown on your house.
This feature allows you to upload one, multiple images or zip-files in their original size to a wikipage.

6. SUBJECT MATTER AND MEDIUM:
Since the winners will be featured on Mainstreet, images that depict graphic violence, pornography or other disturbing actions will not be accepted. Only images that fit the theme will be allowed.

Please Note:
- #1: Asking people to vote for you is against the rules! Although you may advertise the Main Street Poll or public poll page in your mood, diary, or house, it is against Elftown Official Competition rules to directly ask people to vote for you or influence people to vote for you through use of public wikis, diary entries, messages, in your mood, etc..

- #2: If you feel any of the entries break the rules, please speak up before the entries make it to the polls. You can still speak up even after the contest is closed, as long as the polls have not yet gone up yet. Complaints received after the aforementioned will not be considered valid.

Two (2) winning images will be chosen.

Twenty (20) Christmas images will be picked out by the Council and the Assembly among all those presented and a Public Community Poll (Main Street or Poll Page) will tell the winners.

Participants will receive special Christmas Photographers' badges and the winners will receive coloured versions of the same.
