[Canthlian] pads into the arena and looks around. "Mouse? You here yet?"

[Mouse] wanders in,not far behind Canth. "All present and accounted for," she chirps,looking much better than she did at the end of her fight with [Nay].

[Canthlian] turns and nods respectfully at [Mouse]. "I'm ready when you are."

Mouse returns his nod. "I'm ready." With a quick gesture she summons her sword to hand,darting in from Canthlian's left to take a diagonal downward strike at the junction of his neck and shoulder.

[Canthlian] ducks down and rolls to the left, under [Mouse]'s sword. Springing to his feet, he readies his staff for the next attack.

Taking a few seconds to center herself again after the missed strike, Mouse rushes Canthlian again, this time thrusting low for his belly.

[Canthlian] swings his staff up and slams it into the hilt of [Mouse]'s blade, breaking her strike. "Nice moves!"

"You wouldn't be mocking me,would you?" [Mouse] skitters back out of the way,gesturing quickly to produce two fireballs from her left hand,flinging them at [Canthlian].

[Canthlian] swings up his staff and disperses the first fireball with a quick burst of ice, catching the second one on the end of his staff as it passes by. "What? Me? Never!" Spinning around, he slings the fireball back in [Mouse]'s direction.

Extingushing the fireball with a quick negating gesture,Mouse moves back within reach of Canthlian, slashing down at his right wrist in an attempt to disarm and debilitate.

Canth swings his arm down ahead of the sword, pulling backwards as he does so to avoid the blade.

Mouse jumps back, feints left, before dashing in from the right and attempting to jab her blade in between Canthlian's ribs.

[Canthlian] tries to dodge the jab but loses his footing, scoring a large slice across his ribs. Cursing loudly, he backsteps a bit and brings his staff up into a defensive position. "I'm going to get your for that one."

Mouse grins a cocky grin. "I'd like to see you try," she goads, holding her blade up in front of her.

Canth tenses up as he prepares his attack. Circling carefully around Mouse, he slowly flips his staff end for end.

Watching Canthlian's movements carefully for a moment, Mouse suddenly lashes straight out,aiming the point of her sword just below his sternum.

Canthlian swings around the strike and brings his staff around as he does, slamming it into the back of [Mouse]'s head on his way past.

Canthlian's staff connects with the back of Mouse's skull with a solid crack. She stumbles,one knee hitting the ground before she pulls herself back up. Rather disorientated, she gingerly touches the back of her head,wincing as her fingers encounter a trickle of blood. She frowns at Canthlian, wishes for a moment that he'd stop swaying around like that, before lifting a hand and flinging another two fireballs at him.

Canth dodges the first wild streak of flame and ducks under the second as it moves into his path. Rolling back to his feet, he takes a defensive stance. "Hope I didn't hurt you! I don't know my own strength at times."

Although thinking that some panadol, an ice pack, and a lie down might be nice at the moment, Mouse scoffs at Canth's suggestion that he hurt her. "Not at all," she says,dashing in to have another stab at him.

Canth ducks to one side to avoid the blow, but overbalances and lands flat on his ass. "Ow!"

Mouse recovers from the missed jab, swinging round and pointing the tip of her blade at Canthlian's throat. She pauses, moves the blade and offers her hand with a slight smile. "Can't hit a man when he's down."

Canth grins and grabs Mouse's hand, pulling himself to his feet. "Good form."

"Nice fight, both of you." Mulciber says, walking into the Arena. "I have your scores, and the champion is [Mouse], with 130 points. [Canthlian] wasn't far behind, with 120. Now, for the prizes.. [Mouse] recieves 2000 gold credits for the Courtyard, as well as a free item from the EmeraldChamber. [Canthlian], as second place winner, you get a random item from the EmeraldChamber as well. Thanks for fighting, and congratulations on your excellent work!"

Canth grins. "Nice win [Mouse]. Congratulations."
