I made a comic for school. It was a semester project. There are a few explanatory/narrative/scientific sentences to each page.
It is not a typical comic, since the purpose of it should be to show people the difference between Dissociative Identity Disorder and Schizophrenia, which is mixed up very often.
The technique I'm using is Scratchboard (à la Thomas Ott). A cutter or needle is used to scratch off the black surface of such a cardboard and white appears beneath it.
The purpose of this wiki is to gather some constructive comments, pointers, criticism, etc. from you so that I can improve my work if it's necessary.

NEW: Btw. Here is the link to the downloadable PDF version including the scientific text passages to each side in English and improved quality on the pictures themselves: http://pandorasmango.deviantart.com/art/Divided-Brains-A-comic-79787147 (click the download button on the left-hand side)

2005-11-25 [Azaroth]: loll

2005-12-02 [Azaroth]: wow i liked the new ones! the one from Pain is very good indeed! i think i would only made the weight bury itself to give more the impression of pain, but it's just me! ;) and i also like the outbreak alot! very well done!!! congrats! :D

2005-12-02 [PandorasMango]: thx. pain? do you mean brain?

2005-12-03 [Azaroth]: yea, to enance the "image" of pain! :)

2005-12-03 [deeterhi]: the new stuff looks great.

2005-12-03 [PandorasMango]: [to Azaroth] no, it shouldn't depict pain actually, or only indirectly, it's meant to describe the psychological pressure which can lead to the outbreak of the shizophrenic psychosis.

2005-12-03 [PandorasMango]: [to deeterhi] Thanks a lot! Such a positive comment from you is great ^_^ anything I could improve from your point of view?

2005-12-03 [deeterhi]: i think page five is my favorite because it really shows a narrative. the only thing that confuses me has to do with the fourth page. the weight is falling onto the brain, right? well, it looks like there is a lot of space for it to fall from, but inside the brain, it looks like it hardly has room. it feels like there should either be a crack through the head from the impact of the weight or more room inside. how do you feel about that?

2005-12-03 [PandorasMango]: yeah, I briefly thought about that too, seems unlogical, but then I thought it would look weird if I had a crack in the head. That would suggest that the weight comes from outside, rather than inside. I guess I'll try it out and see if it looks better... thx for the pointer anyway ^^

2005-12-03 [Azaroth]: in my opinion the weight should be burying in the brain! :P but it's just me lol

2005-12-04 [PandorasMango]: It is already! If I bury it deeper into the brain there'll be ahole, that'll look weird.

2005-12-05 [Azaroth]: yea it's true, but i was trying to say is that in each of the 3 brain images, the weight would be deeper. you catch what i mean? :)

2005-12-05 [PandorasMango]: I 'catch' what you mean, but that's not the sense. Two of the 3 are supposed to be red, which indicates an alarm light blinking, that's the whole sense of showing 3 identical pics. Of course I wouldn't just show the same old pic 3 times, what would be the use of that?

2005-12-05 [Azaroth]: hmm could be fire for effect? :D

2005-12-05 [PandorasMango]: huh? nah... :P

2005-12-06 [Azaroth]: loll

2005-12-06 [PandorasMango]: you 'laugh out loud loud'? ;p

2005-12-06 [playslashwrite]: Been a while since I last saw anything from you, but damn this is awesome stuff missy :)

2005-12-06 [PandorasMango]: Really? Glad you like it ^___^ so that's instead of the animation -_-

2005-12-06 [playslashwrite]: haha damn straight ^^ I really like the style you chose for your project, I think it's just right :) the story is understandable and everything :D

2005-12-06 [PandorasMango]: hurray! I felt a bit demotivated lately, like, it was insufficient or something. I'm also extremely lazy ;) But now I'll get a grip on it!

2005-12-06 [Azaroth]: yea i laugh out loud loud :P i'm different from everyone else! you should know it :P

2005-12-06 [PandorasMango]: oooh, I seee ^^

2005-12-10 [Flyway]: Your pictures are always very good!!!

2005-12-13 [Saleil]: Awesome stuff! Great job!

2005-12-16 [Dark Side of the Moon]: Lordy lass, you've chosen the best medium for this project: black and white. The stark contrast makes the panels tell a haunting story of the horrifying lapse out of reality. You've done an excellent job on the scratchboard, something I always mess up when I try to do a picture on. I see no mistakes in your scratching anywhere. If you don't mind, I'll tell you the story that I see in these. In the first panel, the house sits quietly in the sunlight of a beautiful day. In the second panel, the warped angle of the base of the house suggests to me the warped sense of reality that stands within its walls. I find the bottom of this panel especially disturbing because of the silhouette of

2005-12-16 [Dark Side of the Moon]: the man standing in the window. In the third panel, we see the man standing in the window, his eyes blank, yet he longs to associate with the happiness of the outside. The close-up of the eyes shows his unfeelingness, the close-up of the ears perhaps tell of auditory hallucinations or maybe just showing the viewer a pathway into his mind. The fourth panel shows what is happening in his mind: a hellish weight falling onto his brain within his skull, a weight that he is not able to remove because it is within himself and he hasn't the ability to rid himself of it. The fifth panel, his loss of touch with reality, a terrifying spiral into a dark world where the perception of what is real

2005-12-16 [Dark Side of the Moon]: becomes warped. He shuns the light, now scared of it because he feels it may be laughing at him or taunting him. I'll have to let you know later what I see in the sixth panel as I have to attend a meeting now. But all in all, excellent, excellent work and very effective. Great job [PandorasMango]!!

2005-12-16 [PandorasMango]: wOw, thank you so much for this description from your point of view! It's brilliant! It's exactly what I was aiming for, what I wanted to express. I'm so happy it's understandable in that way, hurray! =D

2005-12-22 [chilli_icecream]: Woo, the brain! Fascinating...hehe quite amusing with the 10kg weight. Is that really how small our brains are inside our heads?

2005-12-22 [PandorasMango]: ah, I had to change the size of the upper part of the head a bit so that the weight fitted in, but it shouldn't be much different.

2005-12-29 [deeterhi]: i'm a little confused with the seventh page. you describe it as"no way out" but the window is a way out...

2005-12-29 [PandorasMango]: yeah, that's a bit problematic, I'll work on it. the window is closed though, a girl can hardly jump out

2005-12-30 [deeterhi]: i think it's because there are no window streaks. you see them on the outside but not the inside

2005-12-30 [PandorasMango]: aah, yes, now I see...

2005-12-30 [Dark Side of the Moon]: But for a person with an altered perception of reality a window or door could be a gateway to something much worse. I've been watching this wiki and I am just amazed at your talent with scratchboard. Cheers Alexa and Happy New Year!!

2005-12-30 [forbidden]: I love it, It kicks booty

2005-12-31 [PandorasMango]: yeah, the window is stupid, I gotta change that >.< But thanks to all you guys! You're so nice to me, I don't think I deserved it (really, I'm not fishing for compliments ;)

2006-01-01 [lillonner]: very very nice

2006-01-01 [chilli_icecream]: But if you jump out a wondow youll kill yourself

2006-01-01 [PandorasMango]: yeah, true ^^

2006-01-02 [DINOSAURUS;;]: wow...i love it! the pictures are amazing!

2006-01-03 [Like Sun Through The Rain]: damn ur pix r awsome!

2006-01-03 [deeterhi]: i like how no matter what identity she choses, she still looks very unhappy and hollow, which is echoed through the use of negative space. i think if you added too much, it would hurt the meaning

2006-01-03 [PandorasMango]: hmm.... yeah, it's just that it wouldn't cover the variety of identities there usually are. Mostly there are children or male identities, or also extroverted and happy ones. I'll think about it... Maybe I'll just point that out in the text ^^

2006-01-07 [#1 stoner w/ a boner]: damn girl you got talent

2006-01-07 [chilli_icecream]: She looks quite content and happy in the picture of her as a princess type girl(third one down).

2006-01-07 [PandorasMango]: happy goth you mean? =p and is that good or bad in your opinion?

2006-01-13 [forbidden]: Awsome Alexa as always

2006-01-13 [PandorasMango]: *blink'n'blush* ^^

2006-01-14 [chilli_icecream]: Well she just looks untroubled to me tis all...is she supposed to or not?...good because its showing different feelings...

2006-01-15 [PandorasMango]: yeah, different feelings are good. Actually I should've been more careful that they don't all look morose, oh well, or not, dunno ^^

2006-01-22 [deeterhi]: i like the second version. it's more emotional. especially with the drowning pic, and the overall composition of the page looks better.

2006-01-22 [PandorasMango]: Thanks ^^ And thanks again, because you've made me see how the drowning thing can be understood. I intended to depict a woman who actually dives upwards to the surface, but now that you mention it, it does look like she's drowning, hmm...

2006-01-26 [Dorian Gray]: It reminds me of those cool scratchy things that you got... ok, bad description, but this is so good... very enticing, O.o

2006-01-26 [PandorasMango]: cool scratchy things? haha, thanks a lot anyway =D

2006-01-28 [Pyruvate]: I'm no expert in the field of art, so take my comments with a grain of salt... The distoration of the house is extremely well done, I feel like a child looking up at the house in that panel. The three panels at the bottom of the 'brain page' leaves me a bit confused. Is the weight sinking in? I'm not sure if this is the effect you want, but you could always have the brain being shattered into pieces (maybe puzzle pieces) to show the separation and distruction of his mind... I might have an idea if you still want to fill in more space in the identy switches page if you still fill the need to fill it in a bit... Your subconscious page is very cool. I really love the excaping jelly fishes.

2006-01-28 [Pyruvate]: Everything looks spectacular and I dig the way you are presenting your subject! As I've said before... I don't know much about art, so if something I say sounds foolish, it probably is foolish. Good luck with the rest and I can't wait to see more!

2006-01-28 [PandorasMango]: wow, now this is constructive criticism, I appreciate it a lot, thanks ^^ It doesn't matter whether you know something about art or not, since the work is directed to anyone it's important and valuable for me what anyone thinks about it, maybe even more what those think who dont' see it from an artistic point of view. Your pointers are good, I'll keep them in mind, yeah, those 3 panels, I meant to make 2 red and one white to indicate an alarm going off, but instead I'll have two negative and one positive, should have about the same effect.

2006-01-29 [Scientist Studies.]: Wow! I haven't seen something so twisted and brilliant in my entire life. I love the way you have the white onto the black and not the other way round. The characters seem so real, and your persective and angling is just marvolous! I just love all of it. I can't wait to see more!

2006-01-29 [PandorasMango]: *flattered* naaw

2006-01-29 [Sharp leaf]: wow these are nice piccs

2006-02-04 [Liraels Mogget]: hey! righto... i have to say something about this project... namely, I love it! as someone who has suffered quite traumatic mental health problems I relate even more to this project than I think you'd realise. Also the medium you've used for this project just emphesises the bleakness of the story. I wouldnt worry so much about the untouched space around the pictures, I think less crowding on a page makes you look even more closely at the pictures. the only thing I think this project needs is a little more explanation of whats going on... but then again maybe without too much explanation the viewer can see what they want... everyone sees things differently!!! WELL DONE girly!!!

2006-02-04 [Liraels Mogget]: amazing as usual... :)X

2006-02-04 [PandorasMango]: thaaanks *^_____^* I'll add some text, out of theory books.

2006-02-04 [bluefan8989]: It is very odd.

2006-02-04 [PandorasMango]: I appreciate the alternative comment. May I know what the viewer wishes for? As for understanding: text will be added, as mentioned above.

2006-02-05 [Cascading water lillies]: Wow! I am most impressed with this project/idea of yours! It is slightly in the Tim Burton style? Which I love! Some lovely imagery going on there, I love the idea's, the drawings and so on. I especially like the perspective in which the house right at the beginning is drawn, very skilled. Love it. Too nice for a school project! :P

2006-02-05 [PandorasMango]: =D thanks ^^ if I hadn't been so lazy I could've improved the whole thing, but what the hell ^^ yeah, I loooove Tim Burton *hail* ^^

2006-02-07 [Azaroth]: well i kinda like the last 2! i think they're quite explicit in the way that one can quite understand them, and i also like how the whole project is going! nice work!! keep it up 8)

2006-02-09 [▲elevator mouse.]: OMG!!! That is the coolest thing ever! What did you use to back the backround so black? Did you do it yourself? I'm getting Manga Pro or something later, and I hope it helps me with toning... T_T' Anyway, this is amazing! It's not finished? It's beautiful though!

2006-02-09 [PandorasMango]: thanks ^^ well, it's scratchboard. that means you have a black board into which you scratch with a little knive or so. What you scratch appears white ^^ Like negative drawing.

2006-02-09 [Cascading water lillies]: I used to use that at school :) (U.k) We called it 'foil' pictures :)

2006-02-10 [melmay83]: Omg, i love your story, i love your pics... and i can't wait for the next one!!!

2006-02-10 [PandorasMango]: thanks ^^ you're all too nice. I'm so not satisfied =/

2006-02-13 [Dark Side of the Moon]: God has certainly blessed you with talent Alexa! I especially like the 13th panel with the eyeballs. Reminds me a Pink Floyd album cover! All very, very dramatic and beautifully made!

2006-02-14 [Azaroth]: Well Alexa, congratulations for this excelent project! i think it worked out very well and the storyline is quite consistant! i also think it helps that every panel has it's title. it helps to understand it better from the artist's point of view! well done! A+ :)

2006-02-20 [PandorasMango]: *bows*

2006-02-20 [▲elevator mouse.]: WHY AREN"T YOU SATISFIED?! It's so pretty... *hangs them on a wall* Pretty...

2006-02-20 [Dark Side of the Moon]: Ha ha, I think I can answer that one. Us artists are our own worst critics. And that is why none of us is ever satisfied with our own work. La!

2006-02-21 [PandorasMango]: Bingo! ^__^ All the mistakes which might not matter to someone who likes my work make me go nuts o.O ^^ And if I were satisfied, I wouldn't try harder next time, and thus wouldn't develop anymore ^^

2006-02-21 [iippo]: You're saying that is the black scratch-thingie? O_O But... how can you fix errors on it? Scratch it whiter and whiter? Or do you take another "paper" and start again? (or do you not, unlike me, make errors? :D)

2006-02-21 [PandorasMango]: I do make lotsa errors ^^ Then I just use a waterproof black pen. It's difficult to scratch over it again, but it works ^^ if somethings fucked up that bad I start anew, but not often.

2006-02-21 [iippo]: :D Ah. Brilliant. Hmm, do you mind if I put a link to here to a role-play I'm co-hosting, about a mental asylum (the characters all have mental conditions)? (I actually already linked this in the comments, but comments get bumbed... :D)

2006-02-21 [PandorasMango]: no problemo ^^

2006-02-22 [melmay83]: u added more, sweet!! love them all

2006-02-22 [PandorasMango]: =D thankies

2006-02-26 [Flary]: Loving this, the style, the lines, the compositions. Right about everything. *envy^2*

2006-02-26 [PandorasMango]: thx ^^ ... uh-oh, envy! o.O

2006-03-04 [deeterhi]: i like the revision. the story seems to be getting even more creepy and frightening. 8)

2006-03-04 [PandorasMango]: wheee, cool, great that you like it ^___^

2006-03-11 [Saray]: Very, very awesome artwork!!

2006-03-27 [kat's claws]: this is amazing not only the pic's but the mind behind them keep going keep going, this really need to be animated when your done

2006-03-27 [PandorasMango]: thanks ^^ if only I had the means to animate it =/

2006-03-27 [kat's claws]: well its worth looking into, thier are a few reasonably priced pc packages on the market at the momment good luck with you futer work

2006-04-20 [roslyn]: I think an animation of this would be awesome. It looks great Alexa!

2006-05-04 [Mekashef]: That is some very fine work indeed. The interplay of light & darkness is particularly impactful. Congratulations.

2006-05-05 [Rasta Digger]: I really like this. Particularly impressed with the eyes for Thoughts. Like it a lot.

2006-05-07 [*CosmicGirl]: they are amazing!

2006-05-11 [Astra]: Im very glad i found this page! there truly excellant

2006-05-11 [PandorasMango]: too kind, you're all TOO kind ^_^ But thanks all the same

2006-05-20 [Gwenn*]: The last isn't mediocre!

2006-05-23 [Astra]: how long do these take you?

2006-05-28 [PandorasMango]: Depends on the panel size. Maybe about 12 hours per page?

2006-05-31 [Astra]: how big are these panels? about

2006-05-31 [PandorasMango]: hmm... from 5 to 10 cm perhaps?

2006-06-02 [Astra]: so smaller then they appear on this page?!

2006-06-02 [PandorasMango]: well, no, it depends. some panels are an entire or half a page.

2006-06-03 [Astra]: o right i get it. cool.

2006-06-03 [iippo]: So how big is one page?

2006-06-03 [PandorasMango]: 29,6 x 17,8 cm

2006-06-03 [iippo]: So A4? :O That's a lot of scratching.

2006-06-04 [PandorasMango]: hell yeah ^_^ I was two weeks over the dealine :S I'm glad the teacher considerately hid that fact and still accepted it. though she said if I'd been on time she might have proposed it for excellency =( I fucked it up.

2006-06-05 [Tingis]: WOW you must be really talented, i like your work very much

2006-06-15 [across the universe]: WOW I HAVENT SEEN ENYTHING LIKE IT IT AWSOME.....REALLY AWSOME!

2006-07-30 [Moonknight]: WOW! this looks great! O_o

2006-07-31 [Tyrana]: *admires, and claps* ^_^ This is really unique and impressive. I'm glad I got to see it.

2006-10-06 [Perplexity]: This is really amazing work. Very deep - no text necessary. Great imagery. You not only have a wicked imagination, but tremendous talent to visualize it to share with the rest of us. PLEASE keep up the fantastic work - we want more!

2006-10-06 [Lothuriel]: Wow--[Perplexity] just said it all!

2006-10-06 [smakeupfx]: gorgeous work... I'll be stalking this page to see more :-)

2006-10-06 [iippo]: Remember to also stalk Alexa herself :P

2006-10-08 [PandorasMango]: haha, stalk me? NEVAHR!
Though I like being stalked ;)

2006-10-08 [smakeupfx]: too late *stalking shifty eyes*   ;-P

2006-10-08 [PandorasMango]: woot! I'll be famous xD

2006-12-02 [~Lady Morgana~]: Oh wow that's just incredible!!! :O :O :O

2006-12-03 [PandorasMango]: *blush* you're too nice ^^

2006-12-03 [~Lady Morgana~]: No it is just the truth! <img:img/mood/44166_1164144907.gif>

2006-12-23 [crypt 03]: damn girl you hav some great artistic ability you can realy go some where with your art

2006-12-25 [PandorasMango]: if only I weren't so damn lazy xD

2007-01-17 [smakeupfx]: hehe, yeah, everyone feels like that Alexa, on his deathbed, Leonardo Davinci kept apologizing to god, man and himself for not getting more done ;-)

2007-01-17 [PandorasMango]: oh really? haha, that's interesting ^^ admirable ambitions that man had.

2007-01-26 [Gwenn*]: Awesome new pictures XD Very beautiful... Perhaps even perfect!

2007-01-26 [PandorasMango]: thanks *^_^* but never perfect

2007-01-28 [Gwenn*]: I know, that's what makes your art so beautiful: never perfect :)

2007-01-28 [PandorasMango]: that's what makes me go on ^^

2007-02-11 [Devil Doll]: wow, your art is beautiful, lots of time to make, im sure.
they are positivly amazing

2007-02-24 [blackMermaid]: wow your art is awsome and totaly twisted!

2007-04-23 [~The Dreamer Ilaes~]: Fantastic really, Scratchboard art is pretty unique and really think that this is beautiful. Also like the thought behind this all, you can tell there's a lot of effort put into this.

2007-04-23 [PandorasMango]: Yeah ^^ It was the most stressful project ever.

2007-05-05 [kloklo]: I love those pictures, they show darkness and tortured human minds. It looks like a comic artist called "comes", i don't know if you known him. Those picture are beautiful and dissected. love it.

2007-08-13 [I the exotic dancing fairy]: amazing work, and a good point.

2007-10-03 [Moonknight]: Wooooooowww!

2007-10-04 [Wunjo*]: REALLY GOOD. <img:44166_1164145313.gif>
The detail is amazing, I'm astonished!

2007-10-04 [Skydancer]: This has to be one of the most powerful, emotive and deeply disturbing { a very good thing} art I have ever seen on elftown. Its very very good work.

2007-11-21 [Nyaah*]: reaaaaaaaaally cool stuff!!

2007-11-23 [erturk]: great work!

2007-11-23 [PandorasMango]: Thaaanks all you guys =D you're too kind ^.~

and I shall put up photography!

2008-04-30 [PandorasMango]: And thanks a lot to everyone else who complimented me so sweetly ^^

2008-05-04 [Tingis]: ohmy you're so good at it, I love the buildings!

2008-07-25 [Caterin S.]: Wow.
*is speechless*
I didn't check this wiki before now and boy, what I've missed. These pictures are amazing, beautiful and twisted and perfect. I'd love to see this one finished. :)

2008-08-01 [HardRockAngel]: This is both scary & briliant. Wow... =)

2008-08-06 [M!]: This is freaking amazing. You have earned a hug. *Hug*

2008-09-03 [Iske]: wow

2008-10-13 [How to Break a Fucking Piano]: I think I'll say that... I saw the beginning of this a long time ago. Still wildly amazing.

2008-11-07 [Tingis]: I commented this before, but I wanted to say again, how.. amazing it is. Your are so incredibly talented!

And I think you have to be haoppy with the way it is, don't add other things, it will get too busy. A calm page after a busy one is refreshing :) The one where the portret of the girl rips in two pieces, is strong in it's simplicity! don't change it.

Also, the seventh page looks fine by me, only that it seems like the second pair of eyes looks like it's from the reaper. Or that the girl has become her reaper.. I don't know if that was your intention, but the face of the girl above it is perfect.

2008-11-08 [PandorasMango]: Thank you ^^ No worries, I don't think I'll change it after all. I've also realised that even if one intended to do much more with an artwork it's better to leave it the way it ended and include those intentions in a new work. Thanks for the detailed tips as well, I always appreciate if people tell me exactly what they think about my work ^^ All I'll do is clean it up a bit, remove dust, tweak small details bring it in good format etc. which I partly already did in the pdf available above. Oh right! Scratchboard god Thomas Ott himself had a look at this project and liked it :D and also just said that details could be changed, like the order of the panels and such but nothing that would modify my work noticeably ^^

2008-11-08 [iippo]: The link to the tenth page doesn't work for me :o

2008-11-08 [Chimes]: Me either.

2008-11-08 [How to Break a Fucking Piano]: Me either. But fantastic work nevertheless.

2008-11-08 [PandorasMango]: How odd, I somehow counted the pages wrong, there actually just are 16 pages. Page eleven was supposed to be page ten and so on. Sorry for the confusion! :S
And thanks ^^

2008-11-09 [How to Break a Fucking Piano]: No problem.

2009-05-14 [hammersmashface]: is that germsn that im reading?? in picture with the eyeballs?

2009-05-16 [PandorasMango]: Yeah, it's in German, though there is an English version available on http://pandorasmango.deviantart.com

2009-06-17 [Nehirwen]: Featured Wiki! <img:44166_1164145171.gif>

2009-06-17 [Tableau Vivant]: Huzzah featured!:D

2009-06-17 [Caterin S.]: OMG, congrats! :)

2009-06-18 [dancingSHEEP]: This is amazing...

2009-06-20 [Mikie9191]: I love this - at first I thought it was created black on white then digitally reversed, but as I went through I could see that it was planned this way (to be white on black). Its REALLY well done and I like it a lot.

2009-06-22 [Pretaya]: YOU FREAKING ROCK!!!

2009-06-24 [Silver Moon]: really neat

2009-06-24 [PandorasMango]: Oj, so many new comments all thanks to the feature :D Thanks a lot all you guys!

2009-06-26 [dreamswraith]: Very well done . the abstract manner produces the scary you were trying for bravo.

2009-06-30 [Burzum]: This is very good work! Great art, very obscure. It's a theme that always interested me, also.

2009-07-01 [amrazon]: Talent!

2009-07-10 [Teal Ribbon]: My ex has DID, and I get so annoyed when DID and Schizophrenia are mixed up. Thank you so much for this! I love the Ninth page!

2009-07-10 [PandorasMango]: Ah, I didn't have any real life experiences to base this on, so I'm really glad to hear I got it right =)
Thank you all! ^^

2009-07-29 [Linderel]: Old definitions, they die hard. When I have to inform people that schizophrenia is not DID they go 'Oh, really? I didn't know that. Since when?'

2009-07-29 [PandorasMango]: yeah, its a neverending struggle and especially annoying if the media adds to the confusion, like when they say that Gollum is schizophrenic. That was actually the kick-off point for me in this project.

2009-07-29 [Linderel]: My favourite uni teacher says that we have to be schizophrenic - that we should have an English-speaking personality and a Finnish-speaking personality. I guess it's understandable for him to still use that word as he has to be well over fifty and either doesn't know or doesn't remember (set in his habits, maybe) the revamped definitions. I haven't yet had the heart to correct the man... after all, he's just trying to make an analogy.

2009-07-29 [PandorasMango]: Yeah, the term schizophrenia seems to have been really burned into people's minds. I can imagine that it's hard to correct a tutor, I probably wouldn't dare. Or maybe you could like pretend you're confused because you also heard about MPD, that might get him to look it up himself ^^

2009-07-29 [Linderel]: Oh I've corrected him before a couple of times, he hasn't minded yet xD As a matter of fact, he's thanked me :P Somehow I've just let this one slip. Probably because it's not directly relevant to the stuff he's teaching us.

2009-10-03 [ladynightengale]: Wow! You are very talented! It must have taken forever to do all of this on scratch board. Good work!

2009-10-03 [PandorasMango]: Thank you! It does take a long time to do scratchboard work, but its really rewarding =)

2009-10-03 [Nite_Owl]: Scratch board is amazing though--you did an excellent job with it :D

2009-10-03 [ladynightengale]: I remember when I was in art and I had to do a scratch board.. I hated it because it took forever, but I loved it in the end :D Bu you do do beautiful work!

2009-10-03 [PandorasMango]: lol, it IS a mess, when I use scratchboard nowadays I have taken to using a tiny vacuum cleaner, thats supposed to be used for keyboards x)

2009-10-04 [ladynightengale]: That's awesome!

2009-12-01 [Mediocracy At It's Best]: Damn...I've never been good at scratch boards so those who can really do it amaze me. Not only is the art good but I think you portrayed the issue perfectly. Brava.

2010-09-29 [Olwen]: Wow, I myself have schizophrenia and those drawings really stood out for me!

2010-10-14 [PandorasMango]: Thanks guys!
@Olwen: I don't know anyone with either schizophrenia or multiple personality disorder in person, so I'm glad the pictures spoke to you.

2010-11-01 [Olwen]: They did, thank you :)

2012-01-03 [ludageke]: This is beautiful. Do you make zines?

2012-02-20 [PandorasMango]: So far I didn't ^^ But I'll see if I can in the future.

2013-03-06 [shakz_30]: I can relate to these images. They are brilliant. Thanks for sharing.
